The most efficient way to farm mementos?

Hi,

I’ve finally done my first full clear and unlocked the first mask. However I still do not have all the talents unlocked and I’ve heard that clearing the vision with masks on gives more memento.

The problem is my first full clear ( Albeit a bit hazardous as I went in blind in 2 zones I had never been in before so wandered around a fair bit ) ended up with 100 sanity left with only my free revive available and no orbs. So with the first mask Im pretty sure I will not be able to do anywhere near a full clear ( Given it reduces my overall sanity by 50% ). But since it does not increases the difficulty of clearing zones per say ( Like making ennemies tougher ) I think I could manage maybe 2 or 3 objectives.

Now the question is : Would clearing 2 or 3 objectives + main boss with 1 mask give me more mementos than doing a full clear without the mask?

I also heard that some of the other masks can be much less impacting than the first one you get is so would it be better to try and get those by activating the first one still?

Full clearing is more efficient than semi clearing with one mask.

Alleria gives a lot of mementos, while one masking “only” increase overall gain by 25% … which is not enought to justify doing only 2/3 zones

Also, you may wish to do a run with your only mask into the mage quarter to unlock another, super easy mask, which is way more manageable than the one cutting your sanity by half (which is the worst of them all)

The best way is to make sure you always get the objectives to upgrade your cloak. It’s kind of an investment in the future where the payoffs will be bigger.

At rank 9, you lose 45% less sanity. At rank 15 its 75 (or 80% I can’t recall) which makes full clears with 5 masks quite easy if you respect the mechanics.

In the short term you want to get quest objectives and make a beeline for elite extermination and then gift of the titans. Both of these buffs give you a lot longer in the visions. Longer in the visions means more stuff killed and more chests and crystals looted.

Short answer - full clear always with as many masks as you can manage (the 2nd and 3rd masks are trivial)

Reconsidering, you may ignore my last advice & follow Dejarous one.

I recall doing that because we were capped in cloack upgrade anyways … which is not the case now.

You really wish to improve your cloak as fast as you can if you want more memento, that’s the most worth it thing you can do
