For whom was this system implemented? You can need on stuff you dont need just to do it. And if you play WoW you know a big chunk of the playerbase would actually go out of their way to be toxic and troll. You can go around this ‘‘change’’ they made by putting items in ur bank. Please give us back personal loot and fire whoever made the change in the first place. Or if you are so stubborn that you wanna keep it. Change it to not being able to need on item if you have a higher itemlvl item in that slot. I dont wanna join a guild. I wanna be able to pug a raid whenever. Pugging was great before this loot change.

Isnt personal loot the same thing but the difference is that you know who is rolling?
Big difference is you hated the game and blizzard. Now you hate the player who ninja looted the item.
I think it got more toxic this way

But there is a chance of less people roll on an item, so you just prefere not to know even if it means less loot?
EDIT: yes i know blizz can always tweak the numbers but still.
The difference is someone who doesnt need an item can now roll on it just to troll or be toxic. Which in most cases will happen. When it was personal loot you either got a drop or you didnt. Just like in m+. And you can choose if you want to trade it or not. How do you not see the difference?

I would prefer it yes. But only because I saw some folks getting two items per boss which wasn’t the case with personal loot.
Personal loot everyone rolls an item, group loot some people roll an item.
In practice yes it feels you just get or not, but thats just what it feels like.
The current loot System is much fairer to players who actually need the Gear.
If you’re trying to collect the Transmog. Blizzard have put other methods of collect that in the game which doesn’t disrupt other players progression.
It is only fair IF no one decides to troll and need. Happens all the time in eu pugs. And ive cleared the raid on 2 character since first week. You can need on 402 wep even if your using a 421. You know that right?

From my understanding when group loot was originally brought back it was intended that you couldn’t win a Need roll over another player if you had a higher ilvl item.
Although, I’m not sure that has worked. It should definitely be the case that Progression Need should always go over Greed.
So a low or same iLvl holding player should win over a higher ilvl holding player.
Still the Group Loot system is an improvement over Personal Loot and a fairer system. But I do agree that tuning is required to make it fairer and more streamlined along with the addition of Cosmetic Only items to raids, for those who are interested in the cosmetics.

It does not work like that I dont know if it was intented or not. But you have the exact same chance as someone who would actually use the item. Even if you have 418ilvl and they have 400 ilvl. Seen it happen 20+ times. It only removes your ability if you have the same item of a higher ilvl equipped. If you dont have it equipped you can need on whatever. But I agree with you the system would be better IF they changed how it works. But they dont want to do that for some reason. Despite the 50+ posts complaining about it. But they love adding any type of way to slow your progreess. So I doubt they will change it.
Well they have made changes to the system. They made changes a couple of weeks ago, and I am sure they will make changes again in the future.
There is a balance though. Ultimately Gear Progression and Game Progression should take priority over Greeding on items for Transmog. But then there are plenty of players who enjoy transmog, and at the moment you can’t use the Revival Catalyst to collect weapon transmogs.
So any changes they make need to balanced that out.
As I said toxicity was against blizzard which is a good thing because then the community is not hating each other
