Sure, that is ok, i suppose? But I don’t understand what relation it has with anything I said.
i honestly opened a forums to make a post about it and i’ve done like 3 posts in my whole WoW career - i’m really glad it’s not only me who sees the problem.
In my opinion it’s way worse than botting. i would rather have a single bot gathering herbs 24/7 than a multiboxer with 10+ accounts. At least i can compete with bot and if i want i can probably gather more in the same time.
Also i am not really sure how this isn’t bannable since they indeed use 3rd party software to synchronize whole thing. And in my opinion this is what the hussle is about. Using 3rd party software. Me pressing 1 button = me using 1 abbility (or macro). if i decide to go for 2+ accounts then i should be able to play them that way. When me pressing 1 button = me using 1 abbility and a PROGRAM using that abbility on 9 others accounts here is where the problem emerges.
It’s bassicly botting since in reality you only play 1 char and others are mimicing your behaviour by using 3rd party software.
If you want to do a dungeon on 1 account and play AH on another then it’s fine. If you wanna do WQs and camp TLPD then it’s fine.
When you gather 10 times the amount a normal player would by pressing exact same amount of buttons then it’s not fine.
What is the problem with the names ?
Try reading again, maybe you figure it out.
because if you have someone named Yuck, Muck, Duck for example and they all seem to have auto follow on… wouldnt you find question what there doing?
multiboxers = more money for blizz
The thing is they have only one argument for them and thats MB is not against the ToS.Nothing else.I wrote on an similar Topic on the German Forum and they literally always come with that its allowed from Blizzard. They know they get away with it.
it’s the perfect solution, but i bet it’s not done for because has big implication for the servers, between huge amount of calculation needed to spawn individuals node for each char and redoing everytime someone change phase/shard etc
I used something called rhetoric question, you have quoted me but nothing that you said has anything to do with anything I said, I am not even talking againts multiboxing. If you play with multiple accounts then good for you, congratulations. Good for you.
Get ahead of them, ideally by a minute so they miss all the herbs
They always follow some basic Google guide so just keep flying until you overtake them and complete your cycle
Not by selling herbs and ores
Personally I converted all of my alts to alchemists, you only need 50 BFA for the zandalari transmute and on my server atleast buying the mats for the anchor weed transmute and then selling the anchor weed basically quadruples the value (so if the mats cost me 1g I would get 4g back) so you can just buy the mats off the AH and convert
Depending on how many alts you have you can get tons of anchor weeds per day without ever touching a herb
Best thing is you don’t need zin’anthid for this so you won’t even be sponsoring the multiboxers
i’ve noticed some of them arent even multiboxers but just outright bots. even phase hopping for it.
multiboxer is like this in sync moving group that follows same commands etc by copying inputs client to another. but then i see druid “boxes” who repeat action 1 by 1 with delay, like it went through each client separatedly 1 client after another, oftenly running to 1 spot and stop. run to other and stop even if there is herb right next to them before stopping on a herb and gathering it after 1-2sec delay.
That could be a player with multiple accounts without actually multiboxing, by just having multiple clients opened and using alt+tab to switch client. Now that you mentioned I am not sure it would be possible with multiboxing to give the command to pick a herb to all clients at the same time, because that require to click an item in the world, not to use an ability from the skill bar.
We already got phasing and things only the player sees that others don’t, be it questing, progression impact on environment, cosmetics, and even current corruption effects and such.
Doubt it’d have an impact on servers really.
it could BUT as i said, they were ignoring herb right next to them. running to a spot, stopping, to another and stopping. and always stayed on spot for about 20-30sec while there was herb near them. as if moving to preset locations where herbs have chance to spawn on.
thats why it hit me more as if botting, as if was simple case of alt tabbing then they would had ran to the herb next to them
Maybe they already picked that herb, is the thing that makes all these critics against those multiboxers (or maybe just players with multiple accounts) possible, resources can be picked by multiple players, but the game does not allow to pick more than one resource per character. If they have already picked the herb they won’t see it, it disappears, but you still see it because you have not picked it and it has not been picked by the maximum number of players that can do it.
If herbs were working like back in the old times then when one character picks the herb it would disappear for everyone and that’s it, but then using multiple accounts for farming herbs would be useless so there wouldn’t be multiboxers farming it.
except like i said on the original post, they after those stops moved to the herb spot. bot behavior is extremelly easy to spot compared to player, cause they move based on prompts or set pathings , following preset behavior so its repetitive and clunky, robotic.
compared to multiboxer who you can easily tell apart as they move as group in sync
Personal herbs/mining nodes is a very good idea.
No, it won’t drop to zero.
The price will be dropping until mutliboxers won’t be able to sustain their ACC’s via farming. Then they will stop using their alt ACCs until the price goes up and this process will repeat over and over. The problem is that it will be a slow process and it will affect also craftable items price so the whole economy will take a hit.
Just my five cents and honest question, if MBs sustain their accounts via tokens, what does Blizzard get out of letting them do it, since it wouldn’t be money? If a Multiboxer pays their accounts with tokens and one paying player quits the game because he’s sick of the phenomenon, then Blizzard lost 1 active subscription to keep 15 non-profitable ones…
Anyway I must say, if someone gets to the point of having 10+ accounts and using them all at the same time, it sounds like they have a gaming addiction problem and should seek help.
Its correct.Maybe 10 % of multiboxers pay sub, rest of them farm gold at unrealistic rate and top up their bnet balance from farmed gold.
Just plain idiots pay sub or too rich to bother farming smth.
So what is the point for activision to allow it, dunno. For some people if wow is 50-50% play or not, then multiboxing/boting puts in favor to not play wow at all.
He wasn’t herbing so that’s fine
