You guys remember when they announced the changes to both our characters and the mobs?
Well, they’re out now! Can’t stress just how much I adore the changes. Is it just me? Makes me actually want to run dungeons too while leveling. Imagine being a caster able to do your rotation? Makes me wanna try one. :’) Or just bosses not dying in 20 seconds which is… something I was not happy with since my first time playing the more recent versions of the game.
Edit: Not to mention just how amazing having talents to play around with is, getting a level feels rewarding again.
Affli can rejoice so far all you had to do is apply a dot or two and see enemies just collapse, single target fillers like shadow bolt were impossible.
Did the named mobs get a buff as well? You know, the ones that previously had like double the HP of the regular mobs.
Far as I’m aware everything is stronger in the open world, when the update came to beta it was for dragonflight enemies too. That did cause mage tower to break though
Personally only played 10-20, 30-36 and 60-62(beta), the changes on beta happened overnight for me and they were big.

TLDR: They’re making ilvl progression more linear so there isn’t a gigantic jump in power between 48 and 50something, same for 58-60something, to make a smoother transition. People in the higher item levels are NOT affected(so for example current normal raid or higher or so? not sure myself). And they also decided to change the enemy stats accross the board so you can execute at least 2 rotations(their words)
Leveling a tank never noticed it to around level 30 and yeah not doing dungeons lol Might aswell be current level and the TBC ones are HC at 70 levels of boredom waiting for the boss to die.
Why would anyone enjoy this? It just extends XP grind for no reason…
Cause I enjoy playing my character and if my character feels bad to play so does the game. One of the main reasons I couldn’t play since 9.2 released for fun
Which is my point, why care if you get 1 dot on or 3… the faster it goes the faster you reach the cap, atm just one less tank for the pool lol. Questing will be faster at this rate. Dungeons for fun? lol maybe for the 1st year of them but knowing them inside and out, no they only serve or did fast levelling
I enjoy the process of leveling, not speedrunning that. Don’t care about efficiency or speed. If there’s something in a game that I don’t enjoy I just don’t do it, that’s all.
Yeah. The tuning was quite tight and the hp buff affected mage tower on beta. Then add the ilvl&talent changes and not only were the enemies in mage tower tuned up to impossible levels but our specs were considerably different too. My theory’s that they’re going to try to fix up their hp and damage to fit the new ilvl scaling&talents and the reason they’ll take as long as some time into dragonflight(probably 10.0.5) is that they want to make it as hard as now.
new leveling experience is when you’re forced to do green campain quests in shadowlands, so you’re getting 5k per quest but you need 300k, its on a new account on pre patch
