Hi, I’ve mained MM-hunter for years now, I’m currently 2350 m+ score and have done plenty of keys for high and low, I tried the raid as well. Here’s why I think this spec needs desperate help:

First of all, the no-pet bloodlust is great, fantastic addition. However, this spell NEEDS better visuals. Not because I want it to look better for cosmetic reasons but because the other members of my group, most of the time, CANNOT tell the bloodlust has been pressed. It might not matter on paper but it creates a completely unnecesary confusion in some scenarios, especially during keys. PLEASE add some kind of icon to appear on EVERYONE’s heads when MM-hunter’s lust is activated.

Second of all. PLEASE take a look at the talent tree, it’s a complete mumbo jumbo in terms of talent pathing and what’s actually good and viable to play:
a) How on earth is Volley in the place that it is right now? Nobody takes this talent because it’s not worth taking it over other end-talents. Also, I’m sorry but the viability of Volley was mainly interactive with the pre-rework kit. It actually makes no sense to press volley and then cast aimed shots on repeat(which was the idea behind the usability of this button pre-rework) because if you go right side of the tree, you wanna press multishot anyway because it just does more damage(you wanna spend precise shot procs) and if you go left side of the tree(my personal favourite), you need to constantly spend precise shot procs to keep up the tempo on your aimed shots. The way you get to volley and the options you’re presented with along with the sacrifices you have to make is just terrible design.
b) The new Hydra Shot talent - love the idea of giving us a viable 2 target cleave (FINALLY) but then… you have to sacrifice trick shots. Which makes it unusable in 99% of the content. Great idea guys, good job on giving us the delusion of choice and blueballing every MM-hunter player. in the words of Brann: fantastic!.
c) There’s also a point to be made about how bad it feels going anything other than Windrunner’s Quiver, even for AoE scenarios and I think it should be higher on the tree.(almost treated like a must-take from where you can diverge into AoE or ST-oriented builds). I am still cooking on the builds but I’m coming closer and closer into being convinced that Windrunner’s Quiver gives a comparable value on AoE pulls (it’s just SLIGHTLY worse than going the pure-AoE right side of the talent tree but it’s actually just better when pulls last 30~40 seconds - because of how bursty it is), it gives an amazing value on Single Target pulls(Theater of Pain) and bosses in general.
d) Make Explosive Shot cost no focus. Pressing this button feels bad and wrong in like 70% of the situations where you’d think using it only makes sense. Right now it’s a button that you have to press and spend focus on over just getting another aimed shot off which does the same or more damage, depending on the scenario. Either buff it into the moon, make it cost no focus OR make steady shot generate a lot more focus so I never have to feel bad for spending in on something as underwhelming as explosive shot. As of right now I can’t see other ways to fix it.
PLEASE take a second look at MM-Hunter and provide fixes to the talent tree especially. Currently, it’s an extremely mediocre dps spec that doesn’t excel in anything. Garbage “raid buff”(please give us something else than hunter’s mark), ‘okay defensives’ (heals and DR is nice but Turtle just doesn’t reflect most mechanics that you’d think it should reflect - one of the worst “immunities” in the game) and the fact you’re basically a caster, unless you’re in the Trueshot with proper talents.
