The new profession system - pros and cons

I dont want to read a wall of text or watch YouTubers asking me to like and subscribe in order to get a system.
I do get the base point of it and i did the two hidden knowledge treasure for engineering. I did the craft orders by having my alt request them
But i still feel they need to rename the “stats” deffness … why should a young non english speaking player have a clue on what it mean. Yes i can Google it and i did but the names makes no sence.

Fishing still need a redesign… sometimes it takes 25 catch to gain a point, orher times it take 1 catch.

And we sooo need an all mats bag like in TESO (the elderscrolls online). The amount of mats are extreeme and there are quality now too

Many white items NOT labeled crafting mats are required to have for crafting.

Why are there only two hidden “treasures” for engineering whilst alot more for e.g tailoring and alchemy?

I dont mind the system but it needs a serious overhaul.

All the stats are described in the crafting interface for all specs, and you can learn everything about it from in game if you really take the effort.

Fishing takes like 2 hours to max out so judging by the fact that you complain about it I’m guessing you spend extremely little time with such activities. Which is fine, but understand these professions were designed to progress slowly so people can’t just max out every aspect of them on week one.

I am really enjoying slow levelling, but also like gathering during this and making low items for alts.

Figured out how to make and supply orders for my alts last night.
I needed to fly to Valdrakken (while chars below level 70)
to use an npc by a podium to place a personal order, then swap to my crafter at a crafting table in another part of the city to make it.

I have only spent one mining point (possibly), as I don’t know if I will get ‘stuck’ with skills that need high level reagents from content I cannot do.

I suspect that all crafting specialisations will be eventually unlocked over the whole expansion.

I spend a lot of time fishing - I have all other expansions fishing on max :smiley:
I just think the gaining in skill is inconsistent compared to other “gathering” skills
It should work like mining, herbing and skinning - so you know which areas to fish in to get the fastest and best “skill up”

And I know what the stats are but they could be explained better for ppl with reading disablites or ppl who do not have English as their main language.

This to me is the biggest flaw and should be changed immediately. For a game to rely on 3rd part websites to make guides is ridiculous. A player should freely be able to experiment with the builds without relying on these sites.

Secondly the amount of points and the rate at which you get them is too slow. I just tossed professions into the bin. I cannot and won’t be bothered by a time gated system that feels cumbersome. Not to mention the recipes locked behind renown. No thanks not for me.
