It has been a while since i last used the custom support system, but i found myself in need of it a few weeks ago when a quest bugged and wouldnt let me continue even when i abbandoned and started it again.
I ended up in an endless loop of “have you tried this?” and “other topics similar to what you have desribed” BS. What happened to Blizzard support!?
I agree that some things are nice to have behind automated systems, like the character and item restore functions, but seriously…the way the system is now its actually better to wait a week for the weekly reset to fix your problems like i had to do.
You wont even let us make a ticket in most cases…Stop firing all your support staff! Take care of your customers!
The support system has been total garbage for at least 4 expacs now. Blizz are making it harder and harder to put in an actual ticket now. They even point you at wowhead more often than not. And when you actually to figure out how to put in a ticket they either come back with “check it on wowhead” or “we can’t help you with quests” when you are clearly reporting a bug with a quest.
I don’t know whether it’s because blizz cust support now hire people with zero English language skills or they just have some monkeys trained to push a random sequence of pre-canned responses.
Either way, totally useless and worst customer service experience by a long shot!
Bugs aren’t reported via tickets they’re reported ingame via the support menu. Support staff and GM aren’t devs and they can’t magically make bugs disappear.
apologies for my wording. when i say ticket, I’m talking about using the in game support system. and when I say a bug with a quest. ie. it’s completed and wont let you hand it in, when everyone else can, so its a char/quest bug, or when there is some weird phasing issue so the quest giver isn’t where they are supposed to be
