The Noble Art of Corpse Dragging

I am here to plead on behalf of the ancient and noble art of Corpse Dragging. This is a vital tool in the completion of many a task over my years of WoWing. The Suramar campaign would not have been remotely possible without this fine technique of obtaining an objective.

The Maw has completely done away with Corpse Dragging and it is sorely missed (by me at any rate). Venari has been sending me out to do stuff in unsurvivable areas with has cost me all my Stygia and a considerable chunk of gold but the worst part is the lack of progress anywhere with all this “Back to Square One” bs.

The closest you can get in the Maw is Graveyard hopping. Took me three graveyards to get to the area for the Jailer’s Share quest to place 4 Stygia Conduits, thankfully there is a graveyard right next to the quest area or I might not even have done the two conduits I managed so far. I dread getting stuck in some terrain and needing to hearth out as I’ll have to graveyard hop back here again (I might just uninstall the game instead).

Please Blizzard I am pleading from the very depths of my bowels, please do not implement similar mechanism any more, please.

I had this nightmare during the kyrian campaign on my paladin. Thought I could cross that castle with OP mobs by corpse dragging but guess what, I couldn’t.

Ended up asking a GM for help (which I’ve got by the way).

I will do this when I get flying, assuming I can do the Maw sections of the campaign. If not then guess what won’t be getting done…

I’m not sure what you mean by corpse dragging?

It’s when you run as far as you can through a pack of mobs before dying, then ghost run back to your corpse and res. You then keep running, now starting from your res location, until you die again and then repeat, getting slightly further each time.

Eventually, over the course of many deaths, you’ll make it through the mobs to the other side and voila! You’ve successfully dragged your corpse to the other side. :slight_smile:

I thought it was that Everquest thing, where Shadow Knights and Necromancers could find and, well, drag corpses.
