Few people seem to remember, but it is not the first time that Blizzard is giving free character boost to returning players.
In 2012 there was a free 80 character boost for players returning to Cata (max level was 85 at the time) and it generated no outroar.
The thing is that at that time paid character boosts didn’t exist, and I think that this is exactly what Blizzard forgot this time : offering something that doesn’t exist to a returning player actually goes better than offering something that you have priced and are requiring your loyal subscribers to buy at a hefty price.
Even when blizz tries to do a nice thing and encourage people to come back to wow some weirdos will cry about not getting LVL 100! boost. pathetic.
On a side note I would not mind paying 60E for boost if it was 120 boost. Who the heck wants to pay for 110 and then level in bfa zones/IEs. thats a yikes.
60 euro is still a bit of an overkill for me…but yes, I would much rather pay for a 120 boost than a 110 boost. I wonder what the statistics say about brand new players vs. returning players vs. active players when it comes to buying the 110 boost. Who’s most positive to buy it, and who actually does buy it?
