The Primus can't craft legendary

Hey, I can’t craft any legendary because when I enter The Runecarver’s Oubliette there’s The Primus instead of Runecarver. Runcarver was there an hour ago, after completing torgast run he’s not there anymore.

+1 for this on both my hunter & warlock!

I have completed chapter 5 of the current campaign on both my toons and I am also honoured with the new faction. I am completely unable to interact with the runecarver as primus is there!

Please help, is there something obvious I am missing?

Ty in advance

Small update on this;

Completing chapter 5 ends in the same room you craft legendary items in, the runecarver is replaced my the primus. The chapter completion log states “return later” indicating there is no further quests to complete. I logged off for a while then returned to find a further quest “hand in” on my log in the new area! I returned there, handed the quest in and now I’m able to craft legendary items again!

For info, crafting 291 items might be gated by reputation with the new faction?

Cheers :slight_smile:

To unlock 291 legendary crafting you need to do the weekly quest lines up to this week, In ZM.

On completion of CH 5 the Primus should be no longer there and the runecarver’s echo should be back.

A guild member also experienced this issue after completing ch 5 but he found that using party sync with a player that hadn’t started Ch 5 allowed him to access the runecarver so I guess it’s a phasing issue.

I do wonder (but haven’t been able to test) if party sync with a player who has done ch 5 (and for whom the runecarver works) would also provide a workaround until the issue can be resolved.

In the meantime I suggest submitting an in-game ticket in the hope a GM can move your character to the correct phase.

This is the solution. The oubliette isn’t the end of the quest line. You need to go back to ZM where there is another. After that the Runecarver should be back.

The cause of the issue is that Crown of Wills (Chapter 5 of Secrets of the First Ones) happens in The Runecarver’s Oubliette.

Reality’s Doorstep is the quest after Crown of Wills that’s given by Bolvar in the Oubliette, asking players to head back Zereth Mortis. Finishing this quest will remove the phasing from Crown of Wills, allowing players to talk to the Runecarver. If you do not talk to Bolvar your phasing will remain broken until you do.
