The Raging Tempest M+ Overtuned?

Still overtuned so nerfed was not enough good? Healer just couldnt heal at M+15 and he had 9 stacks if I remember right.

Yes. 100%. Healers needs to go all out just to barley keep people above 40% and they run out of mana way too fast because of this.

The entire dungeon is way overtuned still.

Most people dont know that you can dispell the effect that gives him dmg, a shaman can purge it, a priest dispel magic, if its the power surge.

Do you know if you can spellsteal it aswell?

yes

Demon Hunters can remove it, blood elves can remove it etc. I’d say the buff it gives the boss is too big though. Having certain classes nullify certain mechanics is boring and annoying. Having to press a purge every 30 seconds is also really annoying.

So from now on I will tell everyone to not soak orbs so I can become the overpowered raidboss.

Cool!

If that works for you and your group, go ahead

Pugs don’t do the mechanics properly anyway, might aswell :stuck_out_tongue:

Certain classes alot of classes can remove it tbh, most of those classes or people just dont know their class

Dude the nerfs did do the job. Healer soaks orbs till the tempest phase. During tempest he heals and uses one CD if the healer needs to. No real damage till next tempest phase. Thanks to the nerf tanks dont have any problem keeping themself alive. You just need to heal the DDs a bit during normal phase and do your job in the aoe phase. Rinse and repeat. Pugs just often eat avoidable damage or dont play the affix right

You’re confusing two mechanics here. If an orb reaches the boss, the boss gets a damage buff (looks like a debuff); stacking, undispellable, unambiguously disadvantageous to the group.

The other mechanic is that the boss will frequently cast Energy Surge, causing it to attack faster and deal extra magic damage with each attack. This is what you can dispel and doing so means your tank won’t need a shirt change after the boss.

Since the nerf the Tanks I had said that the damage wasnt that bad anymore. Yes they need to act but its manageable. The bigger problem for me as healer is to have everyone in reach when the aoe phase starts. But I am a Evoker after all. Even that is manageable

Or they don’t use WAs/Boss mods that yell at them. If you don’t know the buff exists and can be dispelled it’s hard to figure out that you can. It’s just another one of those “you need addons to know things” fights. It’s sad that it works like this.

The boss gets a magic buff; you can see that without any mods. The adventure guide lists it as a magic effect too. I don’t think it needs more emphasis.

Buff Bar of enemy? Compendium? He literally gives a queue with an animation? Granted I like more audible queues than visuals. I dont remember if he talks like other bosses before doing certain buffs/attacks, but there is an animation

After like 1 min into fight everyone should have all stacks and just melt boss down. Issue is people think it do only dmg and doesnt refresh at max, making them do less dmg than tank and boss takes 3 days

If I have 10 stacks, I die.

I think it does, because otherwise people would be dispelling it. It’s clearly not obvious.

Buff bar is obviously not obvious enough, otherwise people would be dispelling it. “a queue with an animation”, which is not very obvious either. The only reason I realized the boss gets a debuff I need to dispel is my WA and DBM. Boss is too big to see animations and I don’t have time to look at the debuffs (or hover over them even) because I’m busy doing all the other mechanics, thundering, doing my rotation, and generally speaking not dying.

It’s obvious when you know what to look for, but if you don’t know that you should look for it, you’ll never find out until someone tells you.

what do you have targeted during fights? Where is the target frame on your screen? I have the boss targeted all the time and its frame is always on the center right of my ui. I always see when something new pops up on a target that i can interact with and it glows if i can dispell it

Boss nameplate is stacked all the way on top because of its size. Boss frame itself is on the right side, but I can’t properly see (de)buffs on it. Same goes for the target frame, it’s close to my player frame but I’m not an ant and I don’t have time to inspect every single buff or debuff in the huge list it produces. If I were to do that, I’d be dead due to mechanics going off, or screwed over my team by not soaking orbs.
