I’m pissed that the ranking system sucks. It shouldn’t be the same honor requirement from rank 4 to 7 as from rank 6 to 7.
That’s all - continuous pvping is not rewarded with this system. People just go full honor grind one week and then never step in a BG again. That’s unhealthy for the pvp scene… which is a mess in SoD anyway, so i guess I’m just writing this to pass the time while sitting on the can

High requirements for high ranks are fine.
But it should be less honor to go from Rank 13 to 14, than from 10 to 14 in one go. Pushing max honor in one week only is not progressive pvp
“… than from 10 to 14 in one go” shows how you have no idea how the ranking system works lol. Max is 500k honor and even that won’t let you even jump from 10 to 12 (because of RP) unless you have an insane leeway aka R10 60%+
It takes you 8 weeks to go from r0 to r14.
Optimal route starting at rank 0
Week 1: 33k honor → R4
Week 2: 110k honor → R7
Week 3: 256k honor → R9
Week 4: 418k honor → R11
Week 5: 500k honor → R12
Week 6: 500k honor → R13
Week 7: 418k honor → R13 60%
Week 8: 418k honor → R14 (was a post a few months back that R14 is unobtainable until AQ patch)

The from „10 to 14“ obviously was a reference to how the system works… meaning there is no slow and steady grind.

Guys are you not understanding on purpose or what ? The OP raises an issue that makes sense : Why would you need as much honor to go from rank 4 to 7 than from rank 6 to 7 ?
It makes no sense.
If you need to farm 110k honor from rank 4 to rank 7 then you should need less honor to get rank 7 from rank 5 or 6 since you’ve already farmed part of the amount required to get rank 5 or 6.
SoD chose to make all ranks a flat honor value rather than a classement between players, that flat value should apply to each and every rank and not once every 3 ranks.
