The rating loss is too much

The rating loss for winning 2/6 is way too much. You lose about 50 rating for it, even when you never die. The rating loss/gain needs to be based on performance. Its not on me that people forget that they have defenses.

Also a little p.s.a. STOP BREAKING MY TRAPS.

The loss depends on the MMR. If you lose ~48 CR, that’s because you lost the games you were supposed to win. If you increase your MMR, you will barely lose anything, in fact you will gain rating if winning 2/6.
I pushed my Rogue yesterday and I won like 5/6 2-3 times in a row, then lost 2/6 and got like 14 or 24 rating or something.

Yup, problem is i cant contol other people. Los the healer while having no defenses left or just not pressing a defense at all the entire game while being trained results in other players being punished for it. Thats not a good system. Losing some rating is fine but not that much. I think people will be happier with solo shuffle if they actually get rewarded/punished based on their performance.

Yes, you can’t. That’s something that was going to be the obvious issue in solo shuffle. That’s the difference between playing regular 3s and solo shuffle with randoms without communications. You can resolve this issue by playing regular 3s.

It’s either good or bad. It’s just solo shuffle and you have an alternative to it.

You are getting rewarded for your performance. People are just not happy they perform only good on a way too low level of skill while performing bad on okish level of skill.

I was thinking, why not exclude the games you played with someone who severely underperformed from calculating the mmr/rating? If only one of the 6 has 0 wins, then it’s quite likely that that person either has insanely bad luck due to composition or is just terrible.

Skill level is irrelevent when your teammate makes bad decissions that throw the game.

Yes but he is going to be on the enemy team as well. Skill level is relevant, you will end up 3/3 eventually and increase your rating. At some point you have to win 4/6 (or more) in case you want to incrase the MMR more, otherwise you gotta go slow with the 3/3.
I mean what do you think skill is? Carry the bare minimum of your own weight while gaining 500+ mmr? That’s not how it works

Edit: Maybe to make it more clear
you say it’s a bad design. But what you dislike, is not the design but the teamplay. Think of regulr 2s and 3s. If your mate is absolutely bad, you will lose too, right? Because the chances to win 1vs2 or 1vs3 are barely existent since WoW is not designed to win this kind of fights. So what would you do in this case? You’d look for a better mate, correct? That’s the same like joining another solo shuffle. The only difference now is that you are not choosing the partners, who might be eventually above your skill level and carry you (maybe even without you noticing this). You are getting partners on your estimated skill level by the system. You obviously just don’t like the results and I feel you, I had issues on my sub Rogue. Sometimes I win 5-6, sometimes 0. It can be frustrating but I acknowledge I am a bad Rogue and don’t deserve 2,1k+

If there`s a baddie and a goodie in one SS, the chances to get 2/6 are higher because the goodie will carry the baddie.

do you also think your partners should lose more rating than you in 2s/3s if they are the ones who died?

Such an excuse. You play with one specific DPS player only twice and face him four times, so if one person is really ruining the lobby like what you describe, you should win 4 times. And then if multiple people are doing it, you still face them each more than you play with them, so you should at least 4-0 the worst one even with the 2nd worst in your team. If a healer is throwing you go 3-3.

The only reasons why people go below par is because they lost and it’s not on their teammates, everyone played with everyone the same number of times. If you lost more then either you had a complex match-up, that happens, or you’re part of the bad ones and that’s all there is to it.

With past 200 rounds and 1400 rating it’s actually amazing that you can’t question yourself and keep blaming others.

Of course and if i mess up the game by throwing it, i should lose more. I’ve had games where i played bad and actually got rating due to the mmr. Doesn’t feel right.

the amount of people crying for free rating
the only consistency is you in shuffle. you have no one else to blame, unless you play over 3,1 mmr it’s just, get good. or are you really that delusional to think you’re still stuck because of your teammates? you’re the only one getting bad ones from time to time?

I’m talking about how the rating system works in solo shuffle and believe that rating in solo shuffle should be based on performance of the individual player. I never said that i play flawless and if i play a poor game, then i am the one that should lose more rating then people in my team.
I have had games where i got rating eventhough i played poorly and the rest had a much higher rating than i got. Some games you only get 1 rating for winning. The mmr is all over the place at the moment and even after a few 4/6 or 5/6 games you can end up with the same mmr you already had and the following wins give no rating at all.

What i described were seperate ocassions that i have encountered in solo shuffle.
The factors of solo shuffle are vastly different, than in a reguler arena. We can’t decide the players and some match ups simply dont work well.
There are players that did over 900 games to get to 2k rating.

sadly you’re playing a game that is supposed to be played with others.

You’re basically blaming your team mates for why you’re not higher rated. Do you not realize how that makes you look?

Time to swap to a 1v1 multiplayer game like StarCraft II or Age of Empires than - or maybe even chess?

I dont like shuffles either as the time spent in queue is insane as Dps player.

this feels like a trick question like when the wife ask how does these pants make me look

i like big so i say big but then she scream

I do agree the rating change is kinda weird
after 2win from 6games I was expecting minus but not 52rating minus when the two teams rating was the same and 15rating under my current rating
 that is just ridiculous.

why? you would also gain 50+ rating if you would have won 4/6 with the mmr
being higher than your cr.
It’s the absolute same in both ways, gaining and loosing
