The RBG experience

Fresh alt que with other alts, cr is like 0-300 for whole team. Instantly match into some 1600 cr team with multiple ppl with 38k hp. I lose 5 cr for some reason despite them being over 1k rating more than me great lets go next.

Que into some other low rated team, we steamroll them because everyone on my team has like 30k hp they have everyone on 22-25k. Game ends and they all have like 0 cr but we get like 16cr for the win. I guess because their mmr somehow decided to take a vacation in hawaii or something.

Game 3 run into a team that has like 1100 mmr but everyone is like gladiator/duelists except 2-3 people. This is the booster squad i guess so there only here to boost 2-3 ppl that paid 1-4 million gold to wreck plebs like me and my random group finder.

MMR and CR seem to work great.

Edit: Reached 1300cr and we instantly match a 1700 cr team they stomp us with their 41k hp players. They got like 3 Rating which is good for them i guess just gonna take them like 300 games like that to reach some rating.

All of this is a product of very few people playing and the bracket being unhealthy. Even though currently RBGs are vastly more popular than in BFA, that’s still a drop in the bucket (and a far cry from, say, WoD’s numbers, which were like 5x higher, and that’s with WoD being noticeably smaller than MoP or Cata).

What they need to do is allow solo queue (simply make all bgs rated, no need to have unrated at all). This will dramatically reduce cost to entry, which will significantly increase the number of people playing, which will solve it all.

I was close to quitting before I learned the secret to wow  Never take it seriously. As long as you have a long perspective and enjoy your class you will enjoy it more. Yes you will be destroyed in one stun all the time. But think of it more like a moba where all your enemies are fed champions all the time. The old wow is dead, it’s all about fast paced spam now.

yeah the ratings system is very unsatisfying.
Due to irl, i usually do small 1-2hour wow sessions. Saturday finally had a whole evening to dedicate to RBGs. My experience went:

-take 30min-1hour to form a group. You have NO IDEA what each people’s mmr is (you can check CR, but how points are calculated does include MMR).
You win 1-2 games and only get 5-10 points for a win.
You lose 1-2 games, and lose 15 to 20 points per match.
Group disbands, disgusted by the huge CR loss.

Repeat.

Meh.

(even worse since I have to play an offspec because nobody wants a feral when they can take a boomy/guardian instead).

Took me 169 games to reach 1600 with PUGs. Don’t give up!

also
if you get challenger or rival 1,6 or 1,8k
make sure the next groups you push have same cr as you

Now,imagine rated solo queue

LOL

Well, at least there won’t be booster teams there.
