Yep. i have 3 dif healers mw caster / disc / pevoker and after getting any of rewards like tmog/enchant there is no point to heal shuffles. Such a nervous and toxic experience overall since first day. And it’s in not fun to heal on non meta heal vs disc/rdruid all day all night, fast queues is the only one reason to go. but it works till someone of dds keep dying in Narnia then tell some sht in direct, better to play 2s/3s with friends and beer or if you are play alone im just so sorry for you 
i play lfg alot but i play sober, never drink and drive! serious gaming only! but i agree ditch shuffles

Well I play a ret pally. And I play a holy pally. Tbh, I have been able to climb up to 2,1k in SS last season, which was let me tell you atleast for me a holy hell, but I was able to climb it as a ret pally, not h pally.
Two main differences are.
As a melee damager I feel like I have much more control over the situation, I can bop healer, I can sac him if needed, and he gets to trouble, I can sac my friends around me, or I can Blessing of Sanctuary heal, if he gets stunned. However, when I am playing at 100% about 2-2,1k SS is where I was able to get.
As a healer, well let me tell you, I admire every healer that ever joins the SS, because oh my god, do I get a sensory overload every game, as a healer I have not been able to get out of 1200 rating as of yesterday… And I did try to give it my best. However, for about 20 games, I have not really encountered that much toxic behavior like the last season for example. I guess the toxicity begins at 1600+ probably.
Playing DPS is so much easier, like holy hell. You have enormous amount of time, to position yourself and to actually get your bearings. As a healer, I feel that I am a in a constant state of an emergency, there is like a 5-30 secs at the begging of the arena, when the cards are being layed out, after that I am just desperately running around and puting out fires, I have been able to learn a little so I am able to cc and kick other healer guy occasionaly, but jeez.
Also I feel that about 2nd game, DPS bois figure out who is the weakest boi, and they try and wreck him every game.
Also climbing the ranks as a healer is extremely painful, what I observed you either go 6/0, if you are against really bad bad healer. Or you go 3/3, thats when there is just a 1 sorry DPS guy, who accidentaly joined with PvE gear, there is little manouvering you can do, to save that sorry guy who always runs outside the LoS and makes your gameplay really suck. or you can do 0/6, thats when you are paired against much superior healer, some snow sniffing crazy a** mofo resto druid, who gives you cyclone like every nanosecond, swapping froms and stunning you all the while he is keeping his team 100% health all the time.

That sounds like a really good druid player, except the sniffing part i cant approve on any of that
You should try play with some like that guy and with 3rd like hunter and go play cupid in 3s as your retri, now you guys are the ones doing ccs and if you really do all that what you explained as retri then you are already doing everything what 80% retri players out there arent doing, you are solid honestly if you use your utility team wise like you explained

I started to learn PvP during last season, so I have no achievements in that regard, apart from a record of 2,0K in SS last season, when I LFG for partner, I am unable to find someone who is normal, everyone has in their ad “Min. Gladiator 3k+++ EPX etc. etc.”.
Which I am not, and they would not even talk to me, so I gave up finding a partner, occasionaly I play with IRL friend. But unable to find anyone in WoW community to play with me. Either I find someone who is expecting newly minted Gladiator player, or they just plainly ignore me, thats just it. Oh yeah, and I forgot about boosters, once played with a guy, who demanded +100 G per win, claiming he was boosting me.
TLDR; Couldnt find a party, stopped trying, playing casually with IRL friends.
Everyone start somewhere dont give up!
