This is really unfortunate. And also short-sighted. The mount serves as an excellent long-term goal for people who stay subscribed for longer periods of time.
It’s a bad move, and I hope they reconsider it.

I’m glad its going.
It will no longer taunt me with that completely unrealistic price tag.
Just another example of them not knowing wtf they are doing.
The price itself was a big enough hurdle, there was no reason for the achievement and even less so for the removal of being able to purchase the mount from a vendor.
F.O.M.O. is as crappy of a practice as lootboxes. Even more so in the digital world.

That is a stupid decision, like wtf. Not everyone is rich, I’m actually saving gold for buying this, and I am not close to getting it, and now this!!! Scr** them!

I don’t think they will increase it that much.
Legion was generous but I could get nowhere near the WoD gold piles that others had (even with my army of alts). Doubt we’ll be gaining millions like that again (unless you are one of those AH barons ofcourse).
I hope whoever had this idea, gets fired with the next wave of layoffs by blizzard, so they know what corporate greed feels like

they want people to have fomo (fear of missing out) and purchase the 5 million gold with wow tokens. just puuuuuuure corporate greed and I hope whoever came up with that idea gets what is coming to him or her

You might want to consider that your realm has a lot of ahem clever players and is atypical.
Well good move i guess. Didnt give a damn about that mount, but now i defo going to buy it, if news are true. It’s always good to have something that is no longer in game.
If Blizz want to gold sink work, they should increase collector value of items offered. Exclusivity is good way to do it.

Title of the thread is missleading,nothing is removed they move it to BMAH.And if the starting price will be 500k there is a possibility to get it even cheeper then those 5M gold witch is redicules to begin with.If you truly are passionate about it as you are saying that wount stand in your way.If you really need tokens to get this mount then this mount isnt for you in the first place,so i have no clue why some people are making all the fuss about it.It’s meant for people who play the AH.
Also at some point they will add the model without the AH for something trivial in game.Just look at the Ji-kun and the new 8.3. invasion,it will drop off a rare.
If you really believe that it will be cheaper in the BMAH you are either new to this game or dumb as a rock…

Raw gold output isn’t that bad tbh. Do LFR of previous expansions, that should net you a good 5k at least per character (lockout) while taking about an hour or so.
Absolutely ridiculous statement. To attain the mount you need to spend around £300-£400 of tokens. No matter how much one wants it, to pay THAT price is beyond stupid.

Yeah and to think some people said the store mounts at £17 were expensive lol.

but people could farm half money from game and then pay in tokens. And fun part is - Americans are even more angry because they’d need to buy more tokens than EU players would. 
Apsolutly agree.Hence why i said people who have the idea to buy that mount with tokens,or no time to farm for the mount,play the game voice there reasons the loadest but have no use nor means to get the mount.Ridiculous indeed.
Just outrage culture at it finest,not forget the personal player entitlement from WoW player base scores high on the meter.But hey blizz will cower behind it and make mission tables with 10k-15k gold per day in 8.3.
