It’s all because of vanilla wow, we are all mentally damaged from what they did to us 20 years ago
The fact that people can use defensives to … defend themselves ? It is a bit strange to put this in the same post as a would be bug report then, although the popular wow joke would be that for Ret players this could very well be a bug q:
What? The only time I mention the word “bug” in my posts is in relation to the Judgment issue.
This was a criticism of the design. We get screwed by all classes of defensives, and this is a fact. Mages don’t need to worry about evasion, warrriors don’t need to worry about spellbop and so on.
Do not intentionally misinterpret what I am saying. You just want to cause drama and derail the thread.
But that’s what I mean, it has nothing at all to do with Ret design. Warrior attacks don’t go through Evasion or Parry. Hunter attacks don’t. DH attacks don’t. Rogue attacks don’t. Ret attacks don’t. And so on and so forth. It is the concept of defensive cooldowns is it not ?
Well… Mages don’t have to worry about Evasion, but NONE of their abilties go through Cloak, while most of Ret abilities go through Cloak past the 1st second. Warriors don’t need to worty about Spellwarding, but are completely stopped by BoP, etc.
Different classes, different interactions. I think that is part of what makes the game interesting.
The gameplay of the ret is quite fun for my taste, I have no complaints about it except for the consecration. I think it’s good that you can cast consecration with the BoJ, but let me make it optional, I want to have my normal lifelong consecration, so I don’t have to break ccs and I can take better advantage of the pvp talent to play slows
Blizzard, remove the nerf to divine protection and return it to 20% like in DF. Make the templar’s empyrean hammers ignore pets if it is not your main target, and remove the damage nerf from the herald of the sun in pvp
Well I was not even talking about cloak anymore as that was changed relatively recently, but it is still very strong against ret, as is evasion.
It removes Dawnlight, which is ret’s strongest dot, usually #1-2 in the damage breakdown.
Also it causes the best holy power generator, hammer of wrath, which can crit upwards of 1.5M, to be resisted (for the whole duration, not for just the first second).
Hammer of wrath can also be dodged when using evasion.
Anyhow all this discussion is only about one minor point in my list, so let’s agree to disagree and move on.
“Enemy defensives with a 2min CD prevent my spells that hit them for 25% of their max HP from killing them, it frustrates me and gets to earn a point on my ‘Ret viability’ list”
Ret gaming.
Just stop. Obviously you are coming here for an argument.
Obviously.
