Ban Plunderstorm, it is not part of World of Warcraft!

“Someone didn’t get the message: these are WoW resources.”

This.

Don’t get your hopes up.

Ima grab plunder, run into storm, buy mount. never play again.

Did not get to play it last time, because for 2 whole years game was unplayable, and they never compensated me for it, despite being responsible for the Radeon driver issues, that conveniently got fixed 2-3 months before The War Within expansion.

It was a game patch that broke the game for Radeon users, but it ended up being a driver that fixed it, using an older driver never fixed it.

You could still have 0 rep…depending on how fast you died…
I hated every single thing about plunderstorm…but i still played it for rewards…
I prob do it again and still hate every single second off it.

From what I read it is loosely based on wow graphics and gameplay, independent from wow itself and you grind super long (possibly with frustrating games) to add recolored mounts and pets to feed your FOMO. Am I missing anything ?

SInce I very much doubt that the mode will be a a huge departure from what it was, mechanics wise, and I dIdn’t enjoy it last time, I´ll probably give it another 30-60 minutes chance and then go do something else not caring how far I got.

Because unlike the average WoW player, or those saying “i´ll do it for the rewards” (again, to each his own, not passing judgement here) purple pixels all by themself don´t motivate me… I´ve had millions of those and will have millions more before the game dies or I quit, a few dozen one way or the other is meaningless at this point .

that hedge thing was good fun…

Loved it. Played it. Solo and in teams. The end of the reward track snuck up on me by like day 6 and I still kept playing.

It absolutely had its issues for sure, and I can appreciate that it’s not for everyone. Does make me a little sad to see some of the compulsive collectors so vehemently against a mode that they’ve no obligation to play though. It was arguably the most adventurous thing that Blizzard has ever done for the PvP player base since the OG Tournament realm.

so youre either masochist or sworn collectioner xD

me personally will check it out, as i wasnt around last plunderstorm/panda remix

Its sad to see the amount of people from just these few posts who hate/didn’t like Plunderstorm, that will still do it anyway because of fomo. How will that stop Blizzard doing things you don’t like?

You are actively contributing to Blizzard’s strategem of implementing constant FOMO activities to keep you subbed. Its no longer WoW, it has become World of Hoarding.

As condescending as it may sound, Blizzard Knows "us "better than we give them credit for. For ex. they know full well that as soon as they put a mount somewhere, most players will flock to that activity and gobblgobblegobble, no matter how much they dislike it.

SO, yes, I agree 100%, if you don´t like FOMO events , then just don´t participate in tehm, just like most of us don´t PvP and most PvPers don´t raid. If participation tanks, they will reconsider making them, and if it turns out the community really likes them then you have previous experience ignoring them to fall back on :joy:

People always act like the end reward of these things is literally a million bucks, so you´re “stupid” if you don´t grab it while you can… No, not in the slightest, because it´s not actually a million bucks, in fact it´s completely worthless outside the WoW client.

Plunderstorm is far from Toxic.

I wasn’t around for last plunderstorm.
Is it just pvp collect skills and pray you don’t get ganked ?

Yes and no… it´s aPvE /PvP mix, there are PvE objectives that get you plunder and you have to kill those same PvE mobs to get the skills that you then use in pvp fights against others.

Or you do what many if not most people that just wanted the currency did, drop in, as far away from others as possible, do 2-3 pve objectives, run into the storm and die, requeue.

Why is running into the storm better then dying to pvp? More rewards or just quicker?

It´s simply faster, as every minute you spend looking for someone to off you is a minute that you could be in another match farming plunder

And again, n ot everybody played this way… but it was pretty obvious watching matches who was there for the actual event and who just wanted teh mount :beers:
