The same old tale

So now that most of us have seen the update to dinars and expressed our feelings… what else can we do but to quit? I really dont want to but im leaning towards it more and more.

Patch after patch with “new” content only to realize oh hey, theres a ton of bugs. But lets not worry about that now - lets push out ANOTHER patch with some new content! And while we’re at it - lets destroy a DINAR-SYSTEM instead of using the one we used in the past with great success!

Like honestly, this company is so oblivious to its audience its sending shivers down my spine. And the best part is that me as a semi-casual player feels this way. Imagine those acctually pushing for r1 titles in m+ for example, being forced into the raid YET AGAIN - and not for cosmetics, no - but to be able to grab the respective bis trinkets and/or weapons.

Jesus. Rant over. Get a grip blizzard

Given the current outrage, I suspect Blizzard will most likely have to revisit and fix the dinar situation.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if they completely ignore it.

Was speaking to friends over bnet and both of them unsubbed on the spot until S3. I’m hoping more people unsub with this as the reason just so blizzard can see a drop in subscribers and maybe do something because let’s face it, they aren’t going to listen to feedback unless it effects their bottom line.

It’s not only the dinars either, it’s also making all m+ progress up until may 13th irrelevant while also forcing us to spend countless hours farming crests to upgrade our gear all over again(!).
I unsubbed with the reason being " Season 2 Turbo Boost on May 13th" hopefully, if enough people do the same, it will make Blizz understand people do NOT want this.

I’m not sure unsubbing for a short period of time alone, will work miracles. Blizzard tends to pay attention to what’s happening on the forums and social media. The usual pattern is pretty predictable by now: they make a bad call, the community erupts, Blizzard eventually backtracks, fixes it, and says, “See? We listen. You’ve been heard.”

Then they give us a brief window to enjoy the fix, before repeating the cycle with yet another poor decision. It’s happened too many times to count. And let’s be honest, people often resub the moment Blizzard says “Sorry, come back, we fixed it.”

If we really want to see meaningful, long-term change, I think it’ll take more than just a short-term unsub. It means people would need to completely step away from the game and actually move on. Open up Steam, fire up a console, and explore games outside Blizzard’s gardens.

I know, easier said than done, but I’m afraid real change might only come when Blizzard starts feeling sustained financial pressure, when subscription numbers stay low, quarter after quarter. That’s when the design philosophy might finally shift.
