The Scorched Sands Market [Interest Check]

Hello Argent Dawn!
After the conclusion of Duneblessed’s wonderful vulpera festival event, Mizuk, it left myself and a few others discussing the concept of a monthly vulpera market event similar to the ones in Booty Bay and Orgrimmar. What would make this event different, however, would be the themeing relating to the vulperan race as a whole, with added Zandalari aspects on the side, being Vol’dun’s most prolific neighbour.
Whilst catering to vulpera mostly, in my mind it would not be limited to vulpera exclusively in any way, stalls could be run by other races as well as long as they encompass the spirit of the market, in that only trading is allowed.

Whilst an overseer and event organizer would be in place, something like this is an effort of Argent Dawn as a whole, and can only come to life if the community allows it. So! That is why I am making this thread, to encourage inputs and ideas from fellow roleplayers, especially as this would be the first event that I have helped come to fruition. Please feel free to give constructive input, or ask any questions! I’d appreciate if outside drama was kept outside of this thread.

Please keep in mind that this idea is inspired by Duneblessed’s Mizuk, which will be taking place in the same location which is the Scorched Sands Outpost. Though, it will only adapt the market elements of the event, and not the story or the homebrew aspects! Though, it is not officially associated with anyone else’s events!

Consider us interested.
More than happy to help out and make this a possibility, both by being a stall on the market or attending it.

All for it myself. If help is needed I am more than happy to land a hand. Markets in general are nice to go to but one that allows for more creativity by trading things instead of just using an infinite amount of money? Now that’s interesting!

As we ourselves are organizing a Vulpera-oriented market by the end of this week, the Remil’hubi Bazaar, and were thinking of making the experience repeated later on, though without the Love Is in the Air theming, you can bet the Dust Scavengers would be extremely interested in partnering for the development of such an initiative !

Be it for trading, holding a handful of proper stalls there, or helping organizing some activities if you desire such additional events within the market once in a while, you can count us in with absolute certainty in the work of making Vulpera culture shine

My apologies, Kheena, but I would not be comfortable with you attending my event. I do hope your own goes well, however, and I will respect the fact that both of our events can co-exist, even if you decide to host yours more often. The rest of your guild, however, will be perfectly fine to attend as long as they do not cause any uncomfortable-ness for other attendees.

Love to see more frequent vulpera community initiatives going on, and will happily show up for this if and when it debuts.

As the second leader of the caravan, I will respectfully decline.

My first post in our thread when I became a Silverfang was that I was always happy to engage in DMs if there is anyone being uncomfortable, facilitate conversations, or just being approachable 24/7 on Discord or in-game to have a chat. This offer - so far - has not been taken. If someone had a problem with Kheenah, they could still approach me on Discord or in-game to have a civil conversation about what worries them, about stuff such as the Remil’Hubil name, or about anything they might have heard that I will happily shed some light on. I do not do this in public, nor with posts.

But what will not happen is that we “attend without our guild leader” and make her feel ostracized from her own guild before any conversation has taken place.

This is the only post I will make about this topic. There are not going to be any further answers. I wish you good luck with your endeavours and hope this becomes a success.

You and I both know full well that is not what people take issue with in your guild. I wouldn’t even put that in the top five things your guild is known for.

But honestly, thanks for removing yourselves - you’ve consistently failed to know when you’re not welcome - you’re not welcome at the Dalaran Market, you weren’t welcome at the Mizuk, and I’m low-key surprised you actually acknowledged you’re not welcome here.

Good riddance.
