I experienced it when beta testing … was mad as hell then and it’s still hell now … it is amusing how angry I get when in the maw after 20 minutes or so … it’s a game ffs so why do this to me!
… played since 2005 and it’s the 1st area that does my head in …
Doesn’t stop me visiting … just focus on my quests, don’t dawdle and then get the heck out
What are you even talking about? Travel is Maw is no different than in other zones.
No, they don’t.
There are only a few mobs in Maw that can see through invisibility and you can see them so either kill them or plot your way around them to avoid being detected.
Besides, Maw should be hard
They are absolutely passable. People zip around them all the time, just because you are bad at the game it doesn’t mean that the game is bad.
Edit:
Oh I get it now. You went to that zone when it wasn’t unlocoked for you.
Well it’s on you for being dum dum
You not only have your class mobility but you can also enhance your speed through items, various consumables (even kite), there are TWO teleport networks and on top of that you get a 1min unCCable mount whenever you kill proper npc PLUS you can teleport right back to Ve’nari if you stuck somewhere.
You want to criticize but you don’t really want to stick to the facts and on top of that you think that your subjective whining proves something lol
The Maw is an interesting one imo, it’s blizzards attempt to recapture some of the “difficult” open world content you had back in Vanilla/TBC where the environment was actually a threat if you weren’t paying attention.
Sure it feels awkwardly forced in places but the overall aesthetic vibe of the place works mostly, though yeah agreeing with others here - they really did run out of time on what to put there.
I do like the survival/light horror mechanic of having the Jailer’s attention slowly increase on your character though.
It’s also end game content and required for meaningful progression.
Don’t get me wrong buddy, more variant difficulties outside of asinine numbers affixed to mythic dungeons are good but Blizzard are terribly inconsistent with execution of what they’re after.
It’s like suddenly being forced to go from “I’m Too Young to Die” to “Ultra Violence” (to use the FPS analogy) without any say in the matter and if you can’t handle that well “guess it sucks to be you” from the Devs and their vocal elitist minority.
they took >>>>1<<< zone and decided “we want for that specific zone to be different”.
im sorry if its too hard for you. too hard for you ? do other endgame content.
if you need to, imagine the maw is just another raid. basically a harder zone than the rest. its not a zone you can just ride into, its a zone with a “door” from oribos. imagine that circle is actually a door and the maw is surrouded by walls. maybe then it will help you feel better ?
…
It’s not that hard, but unlike other zones, we’re forced to leave after x minutes, because lvl 5 eye WILL kill us no matter what we do. There is NOTHING like that in any other zones.
Every single other quest zone can be done in your own pace.
Imagining it like a raid zone doesn’t change much at all.
