The Single-Button Assistant will add an unremovable crutch

It is not just about the number of spells. Things like interactions, cost of failure, delta between players, etc, shows which specs need some work.

Fire is one of the specs that has the highest gap between the best players, and the skill floor. So yeah, while the number of butons are not the problem with fire, the rotation and the cost of failure is too high.

Mate whatever it will be - it will make ton of people perform better .

Which is a good thing for everyone

I have been saying this for years now - the delta of skills between good and bad players is beyond rodoculous in this game.

Wow was tuned way way way to hard for average player performance since cata.

If Ion didnt cater this game solely to mythic raiders instead 1 mln players we coudl have 20-50 mln if the design philosophy post wolk was different.

Because he was not perfectly capable of playing WoW… One of the reasons he felt left out and acted out because he couldn’t do content. It’s in the movie :dracthyr_shrug:

Absolutely. While I am the nice type of guy, who will ask the noob in the group after the last boss to stay and write down the names of websites with guides and addons with QoL that improve performance, I will prefer if I do not have to do that because Blizzard shows them how to dps.

The thing is, there are already addons out there for people to use just a single button to go through their rotation, depending on what class they’re playing.

Just like the rotation assist, with Hekili, Blizzard is just copying popular addons and saying “here you go, we made it for you!”.

GSE & the wowlazymacro website has been there for years. So people jumping to defend the disabled community, saying “but they really needed it!” … it’s been there for god knows how many years.

Personally, I don’t really care about the GCD cooldown or whatever other addons that Blizzard is adding in 11.1.7. Some players may even finally get their DPS up a bit more.

From what I’ve been reading the Blizzard version compared to the GSE is … fine, it’s not amazing. The Blizz version doesn’t use trinkets, racials or other items. It’s just a basic rotation, which I’m sure they set. Which means they’ll probably be “data mining” the wowlazymacro forums for rotations :stuck_out_tongue:

Hope GSE and Hekili will continue to be developed and the people behind those addons will continue to get supported by people to earn that extra bit of cash for their work they put into their coding.

i use the gse one button because the joints in my hands have alot of artitis, one button makes me able to play the game. the #getgud and lets put a gdc cooldown penalty on it just sucks…tnx blizz amazing thinking there again…maby instead of making things alot harder then need be. think about the consequence’s for every one instead listening to the loudest M+ players

The GCD is your least concern. The rotation the button does is also wrong which has a higher impact. Stick with GSE. It was obvious from the start that its not going to replicate perfect rotational usage.

inmagine how this will be for the disabled… oh nice we are actually getting some help… an extra cooldown as penalty…wait what??? why???

This 100%!

Blizzard will never come close to what the actual addon creators, can create.

The Blizzard version is very lack luster! Sure it can do some dmg and help those who are struggling, but for people who actually have a disability, where a single button macro can help, then I would also point them towards GSE and wowlazymacros.

So what Kretias said, stick to GSE and you’ll be fine. It’s why Blizzard will be stealing as much information from Hekili & GSE/Lazymacros as possible to try and make their version work.

probably to make a larger gap between those who use the one button and those who have learned the exactly same rotation without it

how is that helping disabled people?
its like omg im blind,
blizzard; let me help you, here is an umbrella, you wont get wet now…

sigh…

I think that banning damage meters would have helped a lot more.
It is the expectations formed by the players that start the toxicity.

I know that sounds controversial and against meritocracy. But we have gone a huge way from Vanilla until now and the arms race between players optimizing the fun out of the game and the devs trying to keep them challenged has reached the point where blizzard is offering semi auto rotation macro…

That happened a long time ago, when female/male was changed to body 1 & body 2, and they changed a painting of a woman into a bowl of fruit!

Couldn’t do end-game content… this 1-button rotation won’t make that possible.

He played the majority of the game just fine.

That is the medical equivalent of the symptoms. The infection happens before the symptoms and for a while the pathogen tries to overcome the primary immune system defenses to get in and multiply

What is the average player though? A 1km run is too long for the average person, a single pullup is too hard for the average person. The average person doesn’t do any exercise at all though.

Are we saying that’s the equivalent of an average WoW player? Someone who doesn’t play WoW at all? I feel like I have been massively overestimating everyone. I genuinely believed anyone could improve with practice.

I only play tanks are DPS really that much harder? Couldn’t Blizzard just make every spec similar to tanks?

Fewer but more procc based abilities etc, higher key pressing and a vast skill cap without having 30 binds on ur keyboard

Ago I saw youtube :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

They already have for my spec. Their apl is within 7%, it just doesn’t press CDs which you can add yourself with a paltry single extra button.

What makes you think they will or want to?

I don’t even think it’s a penalty that’s designed to be ‘that’.
I think it’s to keep server load down and this system functioning like its supposed to.
