The stat squish

I am extremely happy to have learned about the stat squish, infact, it is the only reason I gave Shadowlands a chance.

I have always felt the need for thousands of stats on each item and each ability doing millions of damage just made the game, well, feel strange.

Obviously, character progression and increase in powerlevel is one the most exciting features of an mmo. However, even though this post will likely get lost, perhaps even never viewed by a developer, I would with the upmost degree, express how much better the game feels after the stat squish and would highly encourage this to be normalised throughout each new expansion.

I think you have really captured the eye of classic players and private server players, and overall, the game feels more understandable, faster paced, easier to read (dps meters, floating combat text, review performance and calculate ability performance) and also my screen doesn’t have 8 numbers flying across it all the time, which is great.
The game just feels right and hope to see this continued and never get back to what was quite frankly needlessly high values previously.

As a current classic player since phase 1, I and my guild tried Shadowlands as a large group because of the stat squish, so that’s 25 people from my classic guild alone.

I can also tell you from our realm Discord and private server Discords, one of the key factors that gripped those individuals in, including myself, was the stat squish
