The state of the Forsaken

So i was getting in kind of an argument with some friends, i told them that Sira decided to join the Forsaken that she is under no mine control, and i am still sure of it.

Although they are both sure that EVERY FORSAKEN is under mind control.

What do you guys think about this ?

no they’re not under no mind control, tho, raising someone from dead has to do a lot with the strength of their spirit, siras spirit was weak, hence she got raised.

but even so, Im not buying entire ā€œI served moon goddess for decades, then something went wrong and I decided to join a person willingly, who genocided my people and burned down my treeā€ act. weak lore-move by blizzard

So cringy to hear those two say ā€˜Death to the Alliance’ they knew as sub-leaders that the Alliance navy was underway, what did they exspect from everybody except the Draaenei? To teleport entire armies, ships and airships? The Draenei and Lightforged with their ship? No excuses. They failed the Night Elves, they don’t even show up in the warfront.

They do ?

Sira does show up

Lilian Voss has said that being raised as undead usually does mess up one’s personality. Sira was also very convinced that Elune would help her, her last words were her disappointment about how Elune didn’t help her, as well as she speaks about how Elune has forsaken them and didn’t help her people after being raised as undead.

So, it can be mind control, might her personality got twisted after being raised, she might be feeling betrayed by Elune and seeking revenge against her. Or who knows, maybe it’s a mix of all of those.

With the questline, you see that Sira sees that elune just abandoned them. Elune wasnt there when the tree burned and has not kept them out of wars.

Yeah, I might understand that she would stop believing in Elune, maybe, but joining those who did all of this and helping them kill NE and destroying their lands?
Blizzard don’t like Night elves, unfortunately I have said it many times, though Blizz haven’t done much to change my mind so far.

still doesnt explain why she’d join her enemies. she could just become a freelancer or w/e.

exactly

There are some quotes about controlling valkyrs and risen undead that require strong mind or something …

I think best thing you can do is level up undead.
Sylvanus can talk into your mind and knows everything you are doing, order people to do what they dont want to etc …
Its not like Lich King mind control on undeads, but they definitely dont have free will at least in the stockholm syndom way of thinking …

Well according to what you’ve written, she does sound very much like Lich King

Well she definitely isnt as strong as him or at least doesnt want to, who knows.

Lich King could do whatever he wanted with his undead, only when he was too far away/lost too much power could the forsaken escape and even then he could ā€œrecaptureā€ them.

While Sylvanus has to sleep on her back to prevent all the undead from backstabbing her …

Indoctrination by the reapers.

All sentient life will be harvested and the new cycle shall begin!
All hail the harbinger

Reaper, We’ll bang okay ?

An interesting tidbit when raising dead Nelves, said by a Val’kyr ā€œThere are no willing souls nearby.ā€

I think they went and screwed the lore over. Again.
