The Tauren are so lame

This is my first character I created when I started out playing WoW and I thought it was a cool idea to be a huge, hulking bullman.

But actual lore of Tauren is so, well not cool really.
They’re painted off as peaceful hippies that go out of their way to not go into conflict. Specifically Baine being the worst leader in the history of Warcraft.

I think Christie Golden did irreversable damage to the reputation of the Tauren when she wrote that book where Baine justified the attack on Taurajo because for some reason, Jaina helped out Thunder Bluff from a quilboar attack or something? Yeah, make it make sense I guess. Not to mention that he warbraves that wanted to seek out a fight with the Alliance in retaliation were banished from Thunder Bluff.

I’ll never understand why Blizzard made such a cool race, so lame. The update of the models didn’t do them justice either.

Yes, peacemongers are boring.

Thrall, Jaina and Baine must die.

The only lame thing about the Tauren is how they were written to NOT be saved by the Night Elves during the centaur invasion. Thus they ended up in the Horde - a faction of badly written warmongering. How the hell could they just sit there and accept Garrosh Hellscream’s ethnical cleansing of the Horde?

Warmongers are puppets of the Old Gods, Scourge, Legion, or any other enemy of Azeroth. All they want is for us all to go extinct, effectively clearing the way for their masters.

Tauren are great.

Tauren are in a tough spot, on one hand, it makes perfect sense for people to be hesitant to dive into yet another self-destructive war, but that attitude makes them stand out inbetween all the other Horde races which are puppy-dog eager to start (And by by gameplay necessity, WoW being a two-faction game and all) lose one war after another.

Storywise, the Horde needs an anti-war element, to pull them back from their regular episodes of conquest-mania, so basically the Tauren are just victims of the torturous twists the story takes to keep moving into war and out of it again…

thats just the terrible writing from the wow team.

In wc3 they were honorable nomadic people being hunted to extinction. But they were huge and strong.

But they met the same fate as the nightelves in wow. Every druidic race needs to be a bunch of spineless hippies appearently. Taurens atleast have highmountain and grimtotems. But you dont really see much of them ingame. Grimtotems only appear if there needs to be a tauren villain

I wondered why my tauren was limping, I just thought it was a stone in her hoof.
