Played all of classic and quit retail in Cataclysm.

Zabra don’t care for politics, but agree with OP about tourists who aren’t truly passionate about Classic.
I won’t quit over anything, but I don’t necessarily agree with making life that much easier or different. It’s Classic for a reason.

I played 12 years on Wotlk, i want the RDF and xp buff.
You are more a tourist in this game than me.
Then go back to your illegal private server. You prob have it there.
Yeah it’s kinda crazy honestly.
If you want quick leveling just play retail or on a private server, part of what made classic classic is that the leveling actually mattered and took some time. It’s also one aspect which made people come back to classic. All these retail andys now just wanna rush to 70 ASAP then rush to 80 ASAP and then in like 1 week complain that raids should come out quicker.
Just chill, raids and dungeons aren’t going anywhere. Take your time. It’s not a sprint it’s a marathon.

This has never been true since TBC originally launched, Blizzard has clearly encouraged only playing in the latest expansion since then.
You’d never play retail without buying Shadowlands either.
I am so sorry, I totally understand where the OP is coming from, but I simply cannot agree. Everybody pays their sub, everybody is entitled to come here and say their opinions, even If they’re only staying for 1 month and then leaving. Maybe If the game was better they’d stay for longer. And I’m one of those who loves Classic and I don’t love retail at all.

Of course, that might also be my biased opinion as I’m a big fan of the leveling experience.
I get that it is tedious, especially after having done it several times but it is part of the game. I believe that JJ was also pretty great for introducing new players, I just think that keeping it up 100% of the time would trivialise one of the main things of the game.
What if you had to level your first char to max level without any buffs and your alts could get a xp buff? That would be great
