The Trading post. more items you will never see again

With all the talk i have seen in regards to the Legion Artifacts that can no longer be gained. in a few years the will be the same voice’s screaming for items from the trading post that can not be gained in game.

how will you adress this Blizzard?

There’s nothing wrong with time limited items in an mmo. Most people don’t care to get 100% in an game like this

The items on trading post are on a perm rotation so they will always show up at some point nothing will be removed. Unless you mean the monthly rewards ofc.

By cycling the items through the Trading Post in an endless loop.
I think pretty much everything that appears in there will be back at some stage (not sure about the monthly complete rewards though).

The items in the trading post are on rotation, we will see them again.

For example “Fury of the firelord” (fiery 1H mace shaped like a flail), i got it from the trading post the first month it was out, it was back on there 2 months ago, Blizz said they would do the rotation when they announced the feature.

Actually, Blizzard said that the trading post items will rotate. I imagine for the most part the rotation will happen over a long period of time, and I would hope that older items reduce in Tenders cost over time (we’ll see).

But…

This is very true.

There is nothing wrong with having items that say “I was there, I did this”. Especially in a game like WoW, where the story is best heard by living it and being part of it, as it happens.

What have I missed, why can’t people get the artefact weapons any more?

I think they mean the looks from the Mage Tower ones.

They should put all items on rotation even the monthly awards, just not as a whole but pieces. Some people are simply unable to play during certain periods due to one reason or another.

Time limited rewards do 2 things: They keep people in and they keep new people out. I think they should be gone. I have the heroic fyrakk mount for example. After this season is over, I think people should be able to get it, even if it’s really low chance, because I think psychologically this makes new people never feel like they missed out, even if they can’t realistically get it anyway. New players in wow have it rough enough anyway. Not sure, why they should feel punished for not having played in the past.

For example, I think it’s lame, when a new player whispers you “How did you get this item?”, and it’s not in the game anymore. Sucks for everyone involved, unless they need the external validation.

I think the motivation to play this game should be that the content is good/fun, not that people are scared of missing out on stuff.

blizzard say that trading post item willl return at somepoint, just have to wait it seem

Its fine to not have everything. It adds flavour to the world to see someone on a mount you can no longer get or wear an item you cannot get. You gotta deal with it - not everyone deserves everything specially if you were never there at the time.

I think they will start rotating in the monthly rewards as well at some point. Give 1 maybe more years and we will have the option to purchase stuff like the grotto drake and the clown suit for tendies.

If people are scared of missing out, they have an issue with themselves they need to work out.

I have zero issues with time limited items. I either get them or I don’t.

mah dude, it´s great that you found your motivational path into slaying your inner demons, but at least try teach others on how to do this rather than pointing out their issues. happy Friday

I just did. You(speaking in general btw) need to work out the mental issues you have that makes you struggle missing out.

HOW depends on whoever has the issue, and what causes is.

For anyone with a healthy take on it, they just move on if an item is gone.

Thing is that if Fomo was not a driving motivator, it wouldn’t even be used as one. Fomo is a thing, whether you like it or not. I personally don’t have a problem with it, but I do find it annoying that there are many things , they can’t easily release twice, that are time limited. It’s a bit discouraging. Wow, you wanted the cool pvp set from BFA? Well, no, it’s time limited. A bit annoying. I don’t get pride from the pixels I rent from Blizzard. I wouldn’t care if my rewards were available after the season is over, but a bit hard to get, so I don’t feel like it’d be more efficient to wait for them to get old content. I get 1800 after 2 hours of playing. It’s not like I wouldn’t have been skilled enough during battle of azeroth to get it anyway. Just didn’t play the game back then.

Yeah that’s exactly my issue with FOMO. The only reason I didn’t get X reward is because I didn’t like playing the game during that time, not because I wasn’t capable of getting it.

I have some FOMO stuff unlocked, more specifically a lot of the Legion MT appearances and I really don’t care if people would be able to get them today for a similar challenge. What makes them special to me is the effort I put into unlocking them not that I played during a specific period of time.

This is how I’d bring back old elite sets from pvp:

New currency: Mark of Conquest. It resets every season. You need 1800 current Rating or just the respective required rating of the past season to buy transmog with it. 1 Mark of Conquest allows you to buy 1 Elite set from the past. 1 Mark of conquest would cost 5000 conquest points and you can only buy 1 per season, so it’s not grindable.

legion artifact appearances will be available sooner or later i don’t think that’s a question now. players need to realise that the experience of getting them is the privilege they had. at the end of the day all of this will become nothing when the game shuts down so focus on the experience you have more than keeping the reward to yourself because that’s not happening anyways
