The Tragic State of Brewfest

Im at Classic Brewfest & so sad Id have to stay in tent until end in October to get a Mount  We have drunk goggles & Pink Elekks but Im sure there were other side quests long ago. And 3 people were actually participating

I got the achievements a decade ago. Thats how long I didnt care for the seasonal events now, because they never change…
In ESO every time they come around they offer new content and new items. In LOTRO all new items.

How hard is it to understand, they use all their resources on raids and mythic+.

Revamping world events would be a welcomed change. So many of us remember various world events over the years and the fun it brought but they’ve now died a death due to ongoing bugs, lack of mob tuning, and Blizzard’s fixation on M+ and raiding over all other content.

I would definitely become more involved in these seasonal activities again if they became more relevant and fun. :beers:

one of my char is stuck in front of the dish challenge. bleah

Its time they added new mounts to Brewfest…give us something worthwhile!
My suggestions?

  1. Pandaren keg mount
A giant keg/barrel ground mount that you ‘ride’ by running on top of the keg. Bonus points for ale splashing out of the keg whenever you take damage.

  2. Pink Elekk mount.
Obviously its a revamped pink Elekk!! It will be a flying mount and have the worlds teeniest wings attached to it. Bonus points if it flies in a side to side motion like its drunk!

the tragic story of darth brewfest the drunk…

I absolutely agree with most of this though not sure about deleting and starting again. A proper revamp would be enough.

These events are one of the few things in wow which all types of player go to, whether for mount drops, mogs, buffs and everything else. They should be made bigger, better and work on a basic level (ie stuff not being bugged).

Also while it’s worth posting here to keep the thread up just in case someone looks at it, it would also be worth doing it as a suggestion ingame. I can give directions if you don’t know how to do that.

Something that perhaps more of us should do!

yes! once you get that mount then there isn’t much point to these holiday events. This time round there is one pet I could get that I will never use ever. Oh yeah and a stupid sausage hat that is one of the dumbest items ever.

At least my lower levels can get easy trinkets. and maybe a glass bottle dagger x mog.

Once upon a time the drops from the world event dungeon bosses were actually useful and better than raid drops… but I guess then some endcontent players complained about casuals getting too easy gear… because with that one high ilvl item they suddenly out-dps-ed the poor raiders…

just raid rly, and kust mythic raids. everything else is done by janitor on his lunchbreak

I truly, honestly feel like the in game suggestion tab is a legitimate black hole. (I’m not just wah-wahing that blizzard never reply :sob:)

I used to care enough to keep a notepad on my desktop which was hundreds of lines long and included suggestions for improvements, bug fixes, quality of life ideas, possible event improvements much like a lot of what is being discussed here but I can honestly say I’ve never once seen anything that anyone myself, friends or friends of friends has suggested through a in-game suggestion being expanded upon or acted on. The same can be said for the bug report window. It feels like it’s a placebo for players to “vent” almost and all entries get dropped into a big bucket gathering dust. The only time I’ve interacted with blizzard and got the impression they actually care is when I’ve spoken to a select few GM’s through a ticket at which point they almost always direct you to make a forum post, on a forum that they aren’t even actively on anymore.

The whole feedback loop system feels massively flawed in that respect so I’m a little lost on what to actually do from a players perspective to help the game grow / improve.

I’m not sure if as an MVP you have any suggestions on how to actually try and make a difference here, outside of keeping threads alive and allowing players en mass to keep posting suggestions like we’ve had here in the hope that someone at blizzard glances at the forums at the right time?

Any feedback is appreciated

Not really. It used to be that the EU EN community manager gathered up suggestions and live topics weekly and sent the info over to the US. But then they closed Versailles where she was based and now the blues who, every so often, make a thread about something that’s happening are from the US and that seems to be all they do here. I don’t think they actually read the forums.
I’m actually a CS MVP rather than community but the same thing has happened there. The specific forum blues that we could contact have been moved onto different things.

I really do think now that the only way to make suggestions is to do it ingame. Bugs definitely as that’s always been the way in EU as we don’t have a bug forum.

All the events should be updated each expansion…like Childrens week for example…surely the kids want to see more by now…

Unless some blue Blizzard representative comes here in person and tells otherwise, this is exactly what the in-game bug and suggestion submission works. Everything goes into the void and is never to be seen again by anyone.

Plenty of sad gits about who worry about what others get.

Some people are extra :salt: towards them raiders lol.

Not with a new toy!!!

Agreed, these events need regular fresh items or content, without removing current items for new players to get.

I would like to see more choice of orphan races for selection, and maybe a magical means of summoning them, rather than a dog whistle… :grimacing:
