The True Enemy of the Light/Void and Who Elune Might Be

It will be a long writing so bear with me. With the current events at end of Chains of Domination and Sylvanas defeated + redeemed (I guess), but she doesn’t even matter, the Jailer is on his way to… Well here is what caught my ears.

"Witness realities ended."

This serves as a clue and hints for what will happen next in the Jailer’s next grand step forward.

So to start out I re-visited Legion and BfA more specifically Xal’atath, Il’gynoth, the Nathrezim and the Void itself. I think there were some misconceptions about the whispers from Il’gynoth and Xal’atath which were interpreted in the wrong way. Start with the first.

"The God of the Deep writhes in his prison, breaking free ever so slowly. You should hurry and defeat the fallen titan… there are greater battles yet to fight. " Xal’atath whispers in Val’sharah.

Well obviously she points at N’zoth and that we should fight him instead of Sargeras. Yes, but no. Here is a second one that interprets what was/is happening all along.

"Flesh is his gift. He is your true creator." Il’gynoth whispers.

Remember these quotes because they will be important later!

Okay, now, with that I think we were tricked all along by the tip of our nose, the manipulations of the Old Gods crawled so deep in the history of Azeroth that it is horrific. Xal’atath serves the Void but not N’zoth, in speculation she was an Old God but we don’t know her true identity, only that she dates back to the Black Empire.

Moving forward to another quote.

"Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it." Il’gynoth whispers.
I would say this is also a clue, a hint for a grand design of the Void. Back in Legion I would have said it mumbles about Azeroth, but no he is not. He mumbles about Tyrande. The Old Gods seek desperate souls who would give everything in exchange for retribution and justice. At this point, I would say there is either an Old God remained we don’t know about or N’Zoth or C’Thun the true masters of corruption and mind manifestation seeped themselves into Tyrande who falsely believes Elune granted her power. Or the Void manifests in her in some way. During the fight between her and Sylvanas at the end, she loses power rather quickly. Void Lords can manifest in the physical world but only with a fraction of their power and they require a great amount of matter to consume and keep them alive. This also hints that she is not forsaken by Elune, but abandoned by the Void because she depleted her resources during the fight.

The Natherzim
They are I think, the true masters of this grand scheme of all. They originally created by Sire Denathrius to spread the influence of Death throughout the universe only to attract light which later ended with a battle between Revendreth and the Naruu. Denathrius cast the dreadlords out and they serve six masters ever since.

"The cunning ones kneel before six masters, but serve only one." Il’gynoth whispers.

At this point, I would say they serve/served Illidan, Sargeras, Denathrius, Void, Lich King and the Light. Maybe I’m wrong. However, they serve only one among these. I think they serve the Void in 90% and 10% Light. Lothraxion is kind of suspicious to me.

Now to connect what we’ve learned and wrapped this up it is clear that we are not heading towards a Void versus Light fight. No no no… It was here before our eyes all along. The Nathrezim tried to manipulate the Void Lord long ago, without success. The Void Lords are aware of this scheming and thus, they consider “Death” as the “true enemy” which seeks the DEATH OF ALL POSSIBILITIES AND ALL FUTURE.

Light cannot exist without the Void. They are not fighting with each other because if either wins it means both defeats. The eternal conflict which the Naruu and Old Gods mumble about is not Light versus Void it’s Light and Void versus Death. Back to my first two quotes.

"The God of the Deep writhes in his prison, breaking free ever so slowly. You should hurry and defeat the fallen titan… there are greater battles yet to fight. " Xal’atath whispers in Val’sharah.

It doesn’t refer to N’Zoth absolutely not! Xal’atath serves the Void and the Old Gods are creations of the Void Lords, thus she is not urging us to kill Sargeras and fight with N’Zoth, but to kill Sargeras because we have a greater battle yet to fight against the Death. They are aware of the Jailer. The Maw is his prison and he is not escaping it but expanding it around Oribos. At the end of the Sylvanas defeat cinematic he tells Anduin to come with him and witness realities end. Thus, the true battle between Light/Void**(Life)** and Death begins.

Edit:
Part II

The Arrival of the First Ones
With Shadowlands, new Godlike entities have been introduced to the lore about whom we know very little. The first among these deities is Elune. To this point, we are still don’t know who or what Elune is. She is considered the Goddess of the Moon and sometimes life.

I think to explore this “Elune”, we should go back to one of the most ancient places on Azeroth. the Well of Eternity and see where it leads us.

At the heart of ancient Kalimdor lay the Well of Eternity, an enormous lake filled with powerful energies. The Well accelerated the cycles of growth and rebirth on the primordial continent, and soon sentient life forms arose from the wilds. The trolls were among the first and most prolific.

So by this, we can quickly escalate the idea that Elune is a Goddess of the Night Elves because the Kaldorei originates from the trolls themselves.

Now here comes the fun part. How this “Well” had been created?

The original Well of Eternity was formed from a great wound in Azeroth’s surface, created when Aman’Thul, the Highfather of the titan Pantheon ripped the Old God Y’Shaarj from the world’s crust and tore it apart. The volatile arcane lifeblood of Azeroth’s world-soul rushed to the surface and roiled over the world. It was through this event that the Pantheon realized that the Old Gods had embedded themselves too deep in Azeroth’s surface. The enormous lake became the true heart of the world’s magic and natural power. Drawing its energies from the infinite Great Dark Beyond, the Well acted as a mystical fount, sending its potent energies out across the world to nourish life in all its wondrous forms.

So to narrow it down, every life form in Azeroth are a creation of the Great Dark Beyond, which is the creation of Light and Void itself.

Going forward. “Long had the children of the stars dwelled upon the banks of the shimmering waters of the Eternal Well To all was known that Elune, light of the eternal twilight, aspect and goddess of the moon, dwelt within its waters at such time that she rested from her works. Upon the shores of the Well did the children of the stars, favoured of Elune, build their homes, even as their gaze was trained ever skyward, into the moonlit night. Though there were many towns and places of habitation constructed upon the lakeshore, Ameth’Aran and Bashal’Aran were the foremost, having the touch of Azshara, the Kaldorei’s beloved queen, in their creation. Her favoured servitors, those of the, she brought to the twin towns to reside…” So she had gained her power through the Well of Eternity or at least she had rested in its waters from her works. It is pointing to that when Y’Shaarj was torn out from Azeroth, he crawled and gnarled so deep that it had corrupted the entire area where later the Black Empire was built.

To turn back to my first post the Void Lords are very fragile and weak in the physical world, but it seems the corruption on Y’Shaarj and the lifeblood of Azeroth was capable of creating a magical well that all life forms start to spring out and to even “recharge” a “First One”. However, as I have stated back in the post the Void Lords to manifest here require a great amount of matter. I jump a bit, the great sundering happens the Well of Eternity destroyed, now became the Maelstorm. Suddenly, Elune is gone. I would say that she is none other than a Void Lord who manifested in reality but became too weak after the Well of Eternity destroyed that she had to fall back to the Great Dark Beyond and remained there ever since. But now, manifesting in Tyrande she might have found a way to come back.
