Just can’t wait to do IC terrorism too… But we’re a bit busy building snowmen atm

What are you doing in my swamp?

Scarlets without Xenophobia? That’s like The Forsaken without War Crimes.

A christmas miracle.

The North isn’t tumblr territory just yet. We’re free to only love humans.

Shouldn’t it technically be “The Tyrsworn Rise”?

As long as it doesn’t turn in the Tyrsworn Raises, i’m fine.

…Hol’ my bear.

creates a guild named -Tyrsworn Raises-

And thus the Scourge gets another member added to its ranks.

“Raising Standards, Raising Cities”. Sounds like a good warcry.

Anyway, I figure an update as to what’s happening is due. Our “Battle for Andorhal” campaign is in full swing, with the Tyrsworn crawling their way back from the brink with a few choice victories in the face of a numerically superior force.

The Eye of the Storm

The first assault was sudden, but expected. However, little could be done to hold back the onslaught of the Forsaken forces charging through the city and securing key areas in record time. Within the first thirty minutes of the start of the battle, they’d taken the Southern Tower, besieged the Town Hall with the small platoon of Alliance Grand Army Regulars trapped within it, and begun their assault on the North-West Tower. Within the first hour, defences had been devastated, and the forces decimated. However, in the wake of disaster, The Marshal and his Captain charged forth with a relieving force to the North tower, to relieve the beleaguered soldiers there, and to prevent a full encirclement action that would cut off all lines of escape save one, which would lead the Tyrsworn out of the frying pan into the fire.

Either the daring charge caught the Forsaken off guard, or the Light was truly with the Marshal’s elite soldiers that day, but their charge shattered the rearguard of the forces assaulting the North-West Tower, the Marshal himself being knocked down once only to rise to his feet again with fervor and zealotry more akin to the Scarlet Crusade than his former allies in the Argent Dawn. After those outside the tower were dealt with, the Tyrsworn stormed those setting their fellows to the sword. Sergeant Granis Atherton stormed ahead of his fellows to take the crown of the broken fortification, but fell as his wounds sapped his strength. As his soldiers secured the lower levels, the Marshal himself stormed up the tower carrying the banner of the 1st LVC regiment, and unfurled it atop the pinnacle, before falling back onto the hard granite of the tower, carried away by his troops.

Two days later, having partially starved the soldiers within, the Forsaken launched an assault on the Town Hall with a battering ram. The bells inside the building rang as those within called out for aid. From their secure foothold in the North-West Tower, the Tyrsworn descended like avenging angels upon the assaulting Forsaken, quickly breaking their front ranks, before bogging down in the rear ranks of the Dreadguard, who stubbornly held on through the exultation’s of their Sergeant. The newly recruited Pyromancer, Khelben Manshoon, devastated the rear ranks of the Forsaken with a firestorm , wiping out the Archers there, and turning the tides of the melee by blasting the Forsaken off their feet. Seeing the victory was imminent, the soldiers trapped within the Town Hall poured forth onto those attempting to smash down their make-shift barricade. The Forsaken lines were broken, and their soldiers retreated to their own lines. Relieving forces took the Town Hall from the starving soldiers within, as the now half-strength platoon made their way back to Alliance lines. It seemed now the two forces were almost on equal footing. In the darkness, War Horns and galloping was heard, heralding the mustering of forces, while the Tyrsworn prepared for the blow to fall.

Three days later, they still waited…

OOC
A little update on some things that happened in the campaign proper. There’ve also been some side events, such as a caravan escort on horseback, dealing with plague and pestilence in Andorhal itself with an unnatural source, and the like!

None of this, of course, is canon, but that’s RP in a nutshell right there.
