Still a slow game with alot of downtime. I usually watch my second screen while walking, wanding or drinking.
Iād like to know when you did them.
Iām level 43 and my gear is quite good, almost the best stuff for my level. I tried the one in Feralas, which is in yellow for me, not quite remembering how many mobs Iād be facing. I thought āevasion, blind, maybe even sap⦠how hard can it beā. First pack is three level 46 yetis. The moment I saw them I simply let the chicken die and left because it wouldāve been a waste of cooldowns. Indeed later I saw another guy doing it and after the yetis and gorillas thereās a pack of 5 gnolls. Iām sure you had zero problems but those quests are literally impossible for most classes at the ānormalā level. Not even close to āzero problemsā. I imagine even a frost mage would have trouble because of the resists.
Now the polar opposite is the troll hunter I saw doing it after me. I walked by to help him but he didnāt need my help. He sent the pet to aggro the mobs and the chicken just walked through. He walked with the chicken, leaving the pet behind to die. Ress pet, next group. I watched in awe how he went through all packs of mobs without shooting once.
Try to group up. They are not soloable of course, even though itās not stated in the quest text. 2 manned all of them. Tanaris with a hunter, feralas with a shaman, hinterlands with a warlock.
Ah, then sure. I thought you were alone and was scratching my head
Did each of them at appropriate level, got an answer as soon as posted an lfg message in general. Beacon is not a rare drop and most people have it as a rule being done with 2-3 quests in the zone. So finding a group is not an issue.
And yes, hunter is a cheater class in this regard
Soloing DM tribute under 6 minutes
Did this in a party of three, without any addons. Everyone got the popup when we started the quest, and we completed it without too much trouble. Only hard part is when the casters spawn at the end. You need to be on the ball there to take em off the NPC cause he will die after 2 casts.
Soloed the Absent Minded Prospector this morning, no addons, no issues. Itās not too bad as long as you know what to expect and can anticipate where the Troggs spawn.
Having said that, at 6:00 am, there werenāt very many people in Darkshore, so I didnāt have to worry about crowds or griefers.
Actually, the two quests Iāve always had the most trouble with in the past are The Everstill Bridge in redridge, and anything involving Furbolgs in Winterspring.
The latter is an obvious bottleneck, given the number of people constantly farming them for Timbermaw rep and itās rare to go there without having to compete for spawns. Iāve met some very, very selfish and aggressive players.
The Gnolls in that little camp, just off the road on Redridge remain a total mystery to me. Iāll never understand why so many people farm them relentlessly 24/7; but it seems that whatever server you play on, whatever WoW client it is, thereās always at least four other people in that little dell, endlessly and incessantly killing them day and night. They never stop, they never sleep.
This makes The Everstill Bridge pretty darned difficult, for me at least, as actually finding one of the quest mobs alive is a pretty rare event, and any respawns are immediately pounced upon by at least three other players.
Pretty much the same as vanilla, some get it the first couple of slimes everyone else manages 3-4 character levels just grinding slimes to get the bag to drop.
Captain Sandersā Treature Map is my current nemesis.
Spent at least two hours killing Murlocs on Wednesday evening - nothing. Spent another two hours last night killing Murlocs - nothing.
It still amuses me how clams donāt stack though.
True. I didnāt get that on either of my characters. I didnāt farm much, though. Your persistence is glorious
I also didnāt get The Collector / Furlbrowās Deed on my druid.
For some reason I care a lot less about drop quests, unless the rewards are super important.
Managed to finish the Prospector this morning, by the way, in the company of a friendly human warrior whose name was a fine cuisine.
I might do another couple of hours tonight too
I want that shirt, dammit. I had one for every one of my characters in retail back in Ye Goode Olde Days, and I will not be defeated now.
Way too many i should skip but my dumbass head wanted to finish that zone whole for my lvl so instead of moving and progresing i was doing one random quest for hoursā¦
And then you have to plant it at the SS and being totally murdered by the guards, ress, quickly plant it, run as far as you can before being murdered by the guards again.
I abandoned this quest because I assumed it was broken
Mokthardins enchantment, Aged gorilla sinew part in STV.
Took me 2 hours of grinding the gorillas to get it, got 60%+ of a level and a good bit of gold though.
