Hello. Since a plenty of people around here tried to tell me otherwise, I’ll show you that she’s not a void elf. When you stumble onto someone else doing the void elf questline, this is the npc you see accompany them.
HIGH ELF ranger. It shows very clearly.

When i was levelling a blood elf a few months back I kept seeing high elf rangers and I had no idea what was going on

When there’s alot of people doing quests along side a important npc the npc will change to what you’re seeing so that you don’t see multipul of them. Alleria is a void elf 
the cinematic from legion show it very clearly.

Its not very clear what happens there
Something does but its very different to how the void elves were turned into void elves.
So that you don’t see a ton of alleria’s running around, ask blizzard why.
It kinda does tho, she absorbs the Naaru after it dies.
Yeah but that doesn’t mean she became a void elf.
This happens before void elves were a thing, she has a different void effect than void elves do, and then she went back to looking normal again.
A thing that void elves could not do until yesterday.
She is certainly a voidy elf, but she’s not the same as the void elves.
