Is it normal that it is so close to the premiere and there is no more information? For example, the lack of racial information of the new race and much more information that I think should have already appeared.
The information we have is lackluster, at best.
Delves is the only new thing.
Warband is something we semi-have had with account wide achievements, they just didnât go full out until now.
The rest is just⌠eh.
Another ugly dwarf, allied race, shouldnât be a major expansion feature thing; its an extra sprinkle between patch sort of content.
I honestly do not know what to look forward to in TWW, and putting too much hope on delves seems risky.
Thereâs at least 6 months until release. Weâre probably getting an alpha within a month which will by default come with a ton of new information. Dragonflight had a similar alpha/beta cycle.
S4 should take 4 months (start april) so TWW should start end July or begin August.
Better. i dont like to have all datamined so ppl can begin to complain.
Look at the threads about âheroicâ talents. A mess with people just complaining and whining uselessly
The roadmap shows TWW between summer and fall, so Iâd expect launch as far a September. I imagine the pre-patch will come in August.
How long pre-patch ussually take ?
Isnât this what the forums are for?
How many positive threads have you read? Were they dull (more so than the negative ones)?
mmm in fact you are right. and i was whining about whining
Iâm with the others, without Alpha/Beta testing there isnât much to share.
They have Classic Cata Beta and the secret patch first, then theyâll probably mention something about TWW. Seems atm they are just occasionally feeding us hero talent previews.
Does it really make much difference? People would whinge anyway even if Blizzard announced each purchase of TWW would come with an automated bum cleaner.
Does knowing what secondary stat the new Dwarves get a 1% bonus to represent anything meaningful at this stage?
Hype evaporates really fast in the gaming world. Even big news ages quickly and players ask for more. I think itâs sensible to only really start the hype machine for a new expansion closer to release when there is more information to share and material to show off.
Iâd be much more interested in news about more immediate events, like the release date for the âsecret patchâ, details on the Fated Season, and the starting date of that season.
Usually about a month, depends on how content packed it is. Dragonflight pre-patch began October 25 and the expansion launched November 28.
And another thing!!!
Theyâve told us nothing at all (apart for a potential name) for Patch 12.0.
ARGGH!! So frustrating not knowing whatâs coming down the track in 2 years time.
/sarcasm (Poeâs Law is real).
What I find strange is that they said that the Alpha is coming in Spring alongside 10.2.6 according to the roadmap.
For that they also said theyâll require feedback from us regarding the hero talents and so far it seems the sneak peeks we got are too few.
Id imagine in part because large selling points of the expansions would have been patches a few years ago.
-
New allied race (oh, wow, a skin on an existing skeleton)
-
Dynamic flying (hard work already done, but an expansion)
-
Warbands (great QoL changes but should have been done years ago, and Iâm not having it sold as a feature, when it simply is a coding matter)
-
Hero talent, fine, I guess, itâs an expansion on what is already in, so fine, yeah.
-
Delves (the actual only new thing, hopefully it turns out well and not anotger Torghast)
-
Same old pattern of 4 zones, 8 dungeons, 1 raid and a seasonal content. Boring boring boring. Do something, something exciting, launch with 3 raids (two 5 boss raid and a one 2 boss raid), more or less zones, improve tge world, something. Dont doubt the zones will look great and be fun, but the same ole tripe is just boring.

Story, cant comment, itâs the one bastion of hope as Metzen is back, so might be some War and not the hugs and kisses it currently is.
So yeah, there isnt really much to sell, or to talk about, which I think is reflective on the mood being quite âmehâ about it.
We are moooonths away from TWW release. Alpha hasnât even started yet.
Spring has only just started though.
Not yet in America, they tend to use 21st (or is it 22nd?) of March as their start of Spring (as do some over here). Personally that does seem a little late to me. But the Celtic calendar starts it back in early Feb, which is probably a bit earlyâŚ
