Any chance you could have ironed out the bugs when you decided this was a good idea?
Ive had Exothermic Evaporator Coil in my bags for 55 minutes now, it had 5 minutes left before it vanishes but I cant use it because there has been no Weather Alteration Machine up to use it on :S
If you have no time to fix these little issues (theres more bugs on other ones too) then atleast change the loot table for the achievment items to rares that just spawn on their own, im pretty sure that would be easily done tbh

This isn’t a rare spawn item tho ? Afaik it only makes it rain over the depot and turn the elites into normal mobs. If you can’t find it then it should already be raining.
It’s used to summon one of the mechaslime rares in the depot (the name escapes me atm). You use the coil on the weather machine to make it rain which causes the mini slimes to appear. Kill enough of them and the rare spawns.
Worth checking to see if anyone else has done it though as you don’t have to be the one to use the coil. If it’s raining as someone else has used it then you should be able to just kill the slimes for the summon.

Yeah that one. It’s an ooze thing. Was one of the last I needed for Rest in Pistons and someone else activated the weather tower a while before I was even there and managed to get it to spawn.

That thing is odd to spawn as well, have spent an entire rain cycle killing the blobs and got nothing, then another time we managed to spawn four at once

I had similar. Spent ages with a couple of others killing the blobs and nothing. We assumed we’d missed something. Got it a week later between two of us just killing the blob packs each time they respawned at a time when someone else had activated the weather machine.
yeah when i managed to eventually make it rain this morning, i spent over an hour killing the small blobs but the rare didnt spawn, dont think i like what they did with most rares in the latest patch, seems too fiddly for little rewards
