really the way blizard gives the power to remove you from a dungeon is insane !!! i log off dungeon when tank left cuase he pull all room and all died efcorse to get the buf from darmoon back and pl removed me new ppl removed be from party when i was trying to enter again !!! this is not good freom bizzard this is insane crazyy ppl having suck kind of power wiouth nothing … iam so sry … i must abondon this game

The debuff itself has been part of the system almost since the Vote to Kick system was introduced. It became an unfortunate necessity as certain players would urge the group, by request or by being a nuisance, to vote them out in order to avoid receiving a deserter debuff.

I believe a lot of people understand the frustration with how the system currently works. It isn’t fun being removed from a group and having to sit out for 30 minutes because that also gave you a debuff.

While I cannot speak for the Game Development teams, it is extremely unlikely that the current system would be removed. While you may see the benefits, the system does a great deal to help prevent griefing in groups, so it is functioning the way it needs to. That doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement and if you have feedback/suggestions for that, I would encourage posting that and engaging in productive discussions on what you believe would be a better system. I can say with some certainty that the current system isn’t likely to change without something else to go in its place.

You didn’t say if you communicated back to them or not about the tank pulling all, causing you to die and lose buff and that you just wanted a quick hop in and out to grab the Darkmoon buffs.

You could, but most games have similar kick and/or penalty systems against leaving. If you left in another game, you would get the penalty automatically. May as well have been Final Fantasy where if you did the same thing you may as well get kicked if no one knows what you’re up to.

Proposals so far include but not limited to:

• “Just remove it” The darkest times will come back again. Where players may need to wait hours before their dungeon can start/finish while prio roles can keep requeuing for their desires roles due protections removed.
• “Reduced cooldowns stacking upwards” so that if you aren’t kicked often, it starts with a minor debuff.
• “Reduced cooldowns, stacking downwards” so if you’re in a “good” party, then when they surprisepikachu kick you at the end the cooldown is lower.
• “Warning before Debuff” - When you get removed from dungeon you get a Warning but allows you to requeue, if you get kicked again you get debuffed on subsequent leaves.
• “Add reporting for kicking” - This is akin FF where they investigate if someone is really, really using votekick so often and gets reported for it that often as well. WoW used to do this.
