this was something that struck me, when the winterqueen resurects Yesra a leaf falls of here and is realy shown in the video.
what if, it is like if she looses all her leafs she dies, or fades away for a while atleast, becuse showing that leaf fall off, was so highlighted in that video.
I think it’s because she used up quite a lot of anima in order to ress someone as powerful as Ysera.
Those leaves seem to be related to her essence, her power, yes.
When she ressed Ysera she gave away a portion of her own power so the leaf fell. It seemed like quite the task for her.
Pretty much. And the anima in Ardenweald she had access to was already quite scarce, so this was a pretty big investment for her.
It is possible that this is part of a plot to weaken Winter Queen. After all, she is the key person to keep the Jailer jailed. So, who knows. Maybe it’s all just red herring and Moonbery is nice and have the best intentions. But it’s also possible that her actions will cause a lot of troubles in the future.

I think it is more simple. It shows that she sacrifices some of her powers to revive Ysera and also connects Ysera more closely to Ardenweald.
When trees loose their leaves, they don’t die, they just rest for the winter.
Maybe we’ve seen the Ardenweald in his “living” form and there’s another where it goes silent, cold and wintery and hibernates for a time to “recharge”.
I think the Winterqueen could represent that.
