As of the last novel goes. The Horde council has no interest in helping Talanji to kill Jaina for what she did to the empire. It would be better for everyone if Talanji takes her Zandalari and leaves the Horde alltogether. It is obvious that the Horde council is a bunch of sissys and spineless weaklings who fear the alliance too much instead of looking after their own interests. The Horde is dead and the faster the faction is dismantled the better it will be for all of Azeroth. Down with the Horde council. And hail to Empress Talanji the savior of trollkind.
Okay.
Next one please
This is not over. The Horde council will fall. Even if I have to stage a rebellion to make it happen. Baine and Thrall will die first. Being burnt alive on a pyre for their treason.
Then do it, what are You waiting for ? Writting another thread is another minute the council rules the town.
I agree that the way 8.2.5 ended was about the worst possible option, for the Horde narratively speaking. That said infighting within the council and highlighting it’s collective ineptitude could be a way, for a legit faction leader to become a thing again. But i don’t believe that the Zandalari leaving would be a good thing, at this point. If anything i think Talanji’s grudge against Kul’tiras could fuel organically developped conflicts down the line.
Talanji gained nothing from the partnership with the Horde so far. Only a dead King and an invaded city. And the Horde failed to bring justice against Jaina afterwards. The Zandalari don’t need the Horde. But the Horde needs the Zandalari. If the Horde wants the Zandalari to stay with them they should offer something better then empty promises.
Without Horde’s assistance Zandalar would be a pile of rubble and Ghuun infested poop, with whatever would be left of Zul the prophet at the helm. With most of the loa dead.
G’huun was dealt with by Talanji and her expedition force. The Horde had nothing to do with that. The partnership with the horde painted them a red target on their backs which the Alliance took as inviatation and sacked their capital. The Horde only brought them suffering and the alliance should be canceled until the rest of the Horde is willing to see Jaina killed.
That’s highly debatable and could be spun any number of ways. We know for a fact that Zandalar post Cataclysm was in severe trouble and no longer could sustain itself, but without the support of the Horde and the PCs singlehandedly slaughtering through the rebellion/blood trolls Zandalar would have fallen, by my reckoning.
Future stories are yet to be told, but if Trolls are good at one thing it’s holding a grudge so something will come off this eventually.
Erevien, neither Alliance nor Horde can ever win, because the day one of them does, the game will be over.
I believe WoW still rests very much on the Orcs and Humans foundation still. The old Alliance-Horde conflict is always there to fall back on, when the writers muck up new ideas. (Which they don’t appear to be done with just yet.)
Also, killing off leaders is not a small thing as even though they appear weak and unworthy, they do play a role in the overall balance (at least the one perceived by the devs). I imagine it takes a lot of work to build up a new character to lead a racial faction and offer the same cornerstone value as the previous.
Also, clearly, the priorities of the developers are not the same as that of many players. We can’t really do much about that, can we?
If it’s any comfort, you are not alone in thinking that Baine, for example, is not good leader material. At least not when it comes to war. He seems to always be the weak link. He may be a good spiritual leader, but that is usually not what is called for when things get…well, hairy.
Not the Horde ones. They are all trash without doubt. All they care about is taht armistice with the alliance. The last novel showed how weak they truly are. They need to die if the Horde wants to be strong again. Especially Baine and Thrall. They are the main drivers of peace. WIthout them we can attack the alliance again unhinged.
Then give us Gallywix and Sylvanas back and we are good.
Baine is a walking trash can. He made amendemds to Jaina and stopped Talanji for seeking revenge against her. If he would be executed I would be very happy.
That maybe true for the alliance but it is far away from right with the Horde. We are too diverse to be lead by a single blob. The Horde needs to evolve and grow out of it so every race has an equal chance of leading the faction into the right direction.
You’ee right, all it takes is to look at the current state of the Horde…
Only time they actually succeeded was Garrosh… sort of not really.
We can follow majority of the playerbase toward greener pastures like FF14 and vote with our wallets… leaving WoW to go the way of Everquest around 2004.
He is not a good leader. Passing up the point he is resuming a philosophy that nearly got his species extinct, from Cairne’s path, but he also doesn’t seem to have any measure of responsibility towards his peaople, in his consideratiosn toward doing dumb suicidal treasonous nonsense.
We should add Erevien as an allied race for the Horde instead.
Honestly the Zandalari should leave the Horde, that way they’d open themselves to become either a vassal state of the Alliance or be destroyed by the Alliance.
That way trolls lose their only sign of (stolen) civilisation and the Horde becomes weakened and the Alliance could probably kick the blood elves out of Quel’thalas, giving it too the high elves and void elves.
And the Horde could do nothing about it!
Erevien would try. The Erevien Allied Race would succeed.
Nice bait but i won’t fall for it.
Shame, you used to fall for it so much.
't was funny.
Yes, I know Erevien would likely sacrifice Quel’thalas just to get back Kael’thas if he burns down Stormwind or another Alliance capital in revenge … so I’m pretty sure he doesn’t care about the Horde as long as the Alliance is destroyed
And the Void Elves after corrupting the Sunwell, they would rename the zone into Ren’thalas (the Void Home) so all the High Elves would be unhappy and refuse to live there lol. Also I would be excited if the Blood Elves in exchange to that would get a new magical Kingdom in Kalimdor in Ashenvale or Hyjal, but we know Blizzard would have us wait YEARS for that, so…
Also in order for the Alliance to attack, the Blood Elves must provide a good casus belli first…like killing Vereesa, Turalyon and/or Arator for example. Only then Alleria would be furious enough and really decide to attack, probably, and even then, like it happened in the Siege of Undercity, we know the Alliance wouldn’t be able to win unless it’s the Blood Elves themselves who eventually blow up Silvermoon and the Sunwell, because the Alliance’s moral high ground certainly can’t be tarnished…
He doesn’t! He’s made clear time and again that he’d rather see the Horde weakened and dissolved then strong and united.
Like clockwork, really, with Thalassian elves.
They would, I mean just look at Gilneas, an empty unused zone and everything…
That said I do not think the draenei, night elves, forsaken and blood elves should ever leave their respective nations.
The entire idea of Kalimdor for the Horde and EK for the Alliance makes no sense at all, imho!
Alleria can be furious all she want, but she’s neither the Regent Lord of Stormwind, nor the leader of the Alliance, so she doesn’t decide when, where, how to attack, that’s up to her betters like Turalyon, Tyrande, Genn etc.
Sadly, tho I have hope for Turalyon, who clearly stated he wanted to regain more (former) Alliance holdings, so I hope he means Lordaeron and Theramore and Gilneas and Silvermoon!
It’d show the Alliance in a not-perfect light!
To be entirely blunt, that already is a thing.
because they don’t put a light on the Alliance at all.
