There's no excuse for the tiny zones in Shadowlwands

They feel so small. I could tolerate the suffocatingly linear story we all have to follow for hours before we get any choice in how we want to play, but knowing as i do now, that there’s almost nothing to explore and that i won’t have that feeling of vastness that Eastern Kingdoms and kalimdor offer, Heck even the size that Broken isles and BFA offer, has made me un-sub.

I landed in Maldraxus, headed north and hit a wall in a laughably short time, where is the WORLD in world of warcraft these days? Seriously the title of the game should be changed to have that word removed, perhaps to bucket of warcraft, because that’s what i’ve felt i’ve been playing in.

And a last comment to Blizz, if you were going to copy the on-rails, straight-jacket style of Final Fantasy, why couldn’t you copy any of the good parts like player housing? I have never been disappointed in an expansion, i even loved Draenor, but this…i have no words for my disappointment.

oh come on man, its probably already the biggest world in any game ever made, and as Blizzard did many times they can use the plattforms of older worlds for the new expansions and I like it (just like when in Wotlk you got to go back to the un’guro crater)

The zones are pretty huge to be honest. Don’t know if anybody has calculated their full sizes yet but heard that Revendreth is about 1/3 the size of Northrend and that you can fit about 6-7 Ungoros into Maldraxus.

Everything is smaller, but I still feel like everything I do takes 5 times longer. Its weird.

Don’t let facts impede on your whine.

to me they feel [swear] huuuge!

phrasing

but yeah, might a you kinda thing

Ever since WoD they’ve been building zones vertically as well as horizontally, squeezing a lot of land into tight spaces. The world didn’t shrink that much. It’s just a misinterpretation of what you see on the world map.

In the business we call this “comfy” or “compact” :smirk:

Tiny zones? You playing the same game as me? I’m on 54 still got half the map of Bastion still hidden.

I think Bastion is very big
But what I did notice however is that the minimap is way more zoomed in, you can check it out, its true

Going to be alot smaller when flying comes.

Wild ignorance spotted. Highmountain is a huge zone with outdoor and subterranean areas, built in three dimensions in ways classic WoW never could. It’s clearly superior to a wide, flat plain of nothing surrounded by arbitrary mountain walls.

Very arrogant not to recognise your own stubborness in being incorrect!

Nah, you’re just wrong.

And yet the big map still remains uncovered

They only appear small on the maps, idk why Blizzard made the maps so compact this time around. Took me around 4 minutes to ride from the top of Bastion to the bottom. Big enough for me, not everything has to be Barrens sized.

The worst part about the forums is having to bump into that guy, and I’ve been here for two days… all but content in what he usually spews.

The small zones was for me also one of the reasons I un-subbed. I don’t do group content, and what was left for me was not enough.

Wq’s also on the longer end time wise was a huge no no.
