Transmog king
Nice looking transmogs, even though most of the new classes I had a look at do look like variations of Paladin’s and Warriors.
The transmogs would be great for the races they match up with. The Night Elf and Blood Elf sets look great. Not too bulky like most of the plate sets, just bulky enough to look like a Knight.
Good job. Very nice example of what can be done with class skins.
So what am I looking at? Someone’s imagine spot? I like paladins and think they’re cool but I wouldn’t try and force them on every race in the game.
Gnome, goblin, panda and void elf paladins?..
Skins are cool, but no thx.
This wouldnt work from the get go btw. Void Elfs would either be cleansed and be normal belfs again or get ripped apart by the light because they are cosmic opposites.
Yeah but how do lightforged undead exist? WoW lore is weird now days.
Void and the Light are the polar opposites of each other according to the chronicles.
Undeads have nothing to do with the void. Undeads are the polar opposite of life. And as we know life and light is completely different in WoW universe.
Undead =/= Void. Its a different cosmic power. Undeads were capable of using the Light since Vanilla. There is a forsaken with the Argent Dawn. The light heals them in fact but it hurts like heck and as such there are no light wielders among the forsaken aside the player characters.
We were told that if undead wields the light it physically hurts them and they are in immeasurable pain…
Yes they are in pain. It doesnt destroy them however. Void Elfs are Void itself. Them becomming Lightforged would kill them (that or they get cleansed).
Did you even look at the void elf paladin skin presented in that post? It very much had an “anti-paladin” vibe to it, the visuals were purple and the skin was called “Riftblade”.
But discipline priests control both powers? I know that Void Elves are a bit extreme with void, but there may be a compromise for gameplay reasons?
Just my opinion.
Im opposed to them being able to use paladin spells to begin with. If its an anti paladin then its not a paladin and as such requires a new class.
All Priests among the forsaken aside the players are shadowpriests.
Player wise potentially if they have Azeroth directly interfere and buff you as to not get obliterated as she stands above the void and light. Any NPCs being Paladins however? Big no.
It’s paladin spells for gameplay reasons but given a Voidy flavour which will make the magic not Light lorewise, removing the lore conflict altogether. Gameplay mechanics will remain the same as those of a Paladin, but lorewise you wouldn’t be a Paladin anymore. That’s the entire idea with class skins. Even for other races who already have Paladins (like Blood Elves and Tauren) those were never supposed to be ‘ordinary’ Light paladins and the alternative visuals would do a great job illustrating that.
With this being said… as much as I would love to see this introduced, I am afraid it might be too much dev effort to add a skin for every single race-class combo out there, as well as keep that up with any new spells added into the game. A shame.
Looks cool, but … Paladins. Ugh.
Let me know when that person does hunters.
I think these are really cool ideas adding class diversity (cosmetically) without having to develop and balance new classes/mechanics, but I too, doubt, it’d be introduced, looks like a lot to do for all classes and races.
Would’ve been awesome though.
Why naming these transmogs into Class skins? “Nightblade” nelf warrior has shield and sword but “Moonblade” nelf something has a staff. Nice logic. And then, some words are attached to a wanna-be spell icons that pretty much mean nothing.
10/10 for effort. -20/10 for creativity.
