They really need to update the guild finder

Got a different job and the times that I can raid are changing. Just the way life is. So I though. Let’s see what ye oldie guild finder has to offer and its kinda meh at best.

You need so much more info if you wana find a guild.

Norma/heroic and mythic raiding should be options
Raid times should be an option
an ability to sort by recently updated or new

At the bare minimum these should be included

They should reset those ads every patch too.

A guild ad is only valid for so many days. So if you don’t update/refresh it drops off the listing.

They need to take a look at other recruitment sites and take some cues from those.

I would much prefer if they made their own regulated Guild recruitment website.

Would probably cost a bit to make but I think it would be a fantastic addition to the game overall and would allow for more customisation of recruiting and could potentially have more people expose themselves to newer content in a group setting.

Entire guild system needs a good overhaul in general but guild finder in particular imo.

Sucks having to use 3rd party websites to find a new guild every patch :smirk:

The ingame guild finder needs heavy improvements so that players do not have to rely on websites such Raider,io, to find a guild that fits them.

Guilds in the guild finder should be able to have the option to provide much more details about what they seek, can offer, and raid times if a raiding guild.

Examples:

  • If the guild is doing PvE, PvP, or both.
  • What classes and specs the guild is looking for.
  • Better guild descriptions instead of the current short and limited text window. Perhaps a resume similar to when applying for a job? Such as the guild’s accomplishments if any, ingame guild achievements like Cutting Edges, Ahead of the Curves, Gladiator etc.
  • Viewable raid times, so that players can find a guild that fits their schedule.

Only my examples, but some that I think would be improvements.

Thought guilds were cross faction now, yet on my Alliance Mage I can’t find the guild I’m in as Horde… what gives?

cross server and cross faction. As I understand it. I think its time they did a guild finder overhaul to reflect that.

The issue is that the game has not yet embraced cross faction play fully. So you can only see your own faction guilds listed. So really what race the GM chose.

A bit sad. I think with cross fation and server. Raiders won’t have to all group on 2 or 3 servers to play the game. Finding a guild that raids at the time you are about will be way easier.

That said they are doing story mode for raids. As long as the myth track for raid and m+ are the same. Finding an m+ group will be way easier.
