I thought I’d puke during my attempts at hardmode ?? level. Took me over 20 tries or so to succeed as a brewmaster equipped with item level 667.

What I found funny was low number of underpin guides - for zekvir there were tons, for every class - now it’s like… nobody cares ;pp just some videos I couldn’t care to watch ;p
But how can they not do a simple fix to make bomb interact override underpin’s???
I feel so sick from this fight right now, I might not be able to walk it off for a bit. NGL it was not fun at all.
So anyway - I really suggest doing it as tank and not care much about the incoming damage. Monk with so many self-heals and good mobility worked fine for me.
Also used cantrip dps weapons with procs and full-on dmg proc circlet + noggenfogger and kobold-cart-proc trinkets.
shield was not an issue
For me the worst thing was that the bombs can be attacked by NPCs and more often than not when they spawn the micro dinosaurs and bioprinter will just attack them but they’re invincle objects so it would just be a massive DPS loss.

My only gripe is the tiny dark blue directional arrow to punt them bombs… wish they’d make it bigger and a more noticeable colour.
It’s a hectic figtht, and I have to strain my eyes to see where I am aiming them bombs at amid all the chaos.

damn, I noticed they get feared XD
Got him down to 29% from just ignoring the adds and just hard nuking him while using procs to dps while moving… pretty sure this is hell of a lot easier as a Hunter.
Edit – I give up, I am wasting so much time trying to aim the bombs its getting me killed. Horrid boss fight, especially when no matter how careful you are baiting the boss adds just end up spawning in random places amidst the chaos so you can’t take them out as a group with the bombs…
I dont have high enough dps as resto to burn down the shield, so I have given up for now. Will try again with my pala at some point maybe. I dont care for the mount, but I usually enjoy solo challenges.

Brann can freeze them with his traps so kicking them has no effect. Thats fun too.

Getting 3k rating is easier then doing underpin tier ??
Guys, try any tank class with brann DPS - imo the easiest way. I wouldn’t try it as DPS when even as a tank I could just randomly die in the chaos xD
Tried it with Brann as the tank [lvl 80] instead to hold Underpin off while I focused on the bombs, he’ll die eventually but is usually back up when the next set of adds come along to taunt Undermine off again.
The biggest problem is how one slip up will snowball the entire fight into mayhem, it’s very much doable even as a tank in 640-650ilvl if you never lose focus, but one missed bomb leads to one crony living, leads to more overlaps, leads to more missed bombs etc etc
But very fun fight over all
Maybe it shows the “respect” they have for people who value this content.
Have influencers or streamers or WoWhead made noise about it?
Consider it fixed shortly after if they make a video or a thread about it.
