Thirsting Blades trait

Anyone could explain me why sites like Bloodmallet have Thirsting Blades as the highest trait (outside Uldir and RA)?
Ok, I get a 7k additional dmg on opening combat (and that is 40 sec between targets) but during the fight, you use Chaos Strike/Annihilation constantly so the trait does not pass 2-3 stacks…

Simply because it sims highest.

Imo it is the best trait for single target purpose. It gives you burst at the start and free chaos strike which changes your opening rotation a bit.

It is also constantly reducing the cost of chaos strike and adding a little damage (2-3 fury might seem insignificant, but it adds up).

If you look at the numbers: if you have 1 TS you will get 9k extra damage at first chaos strike. When you have 2 TS you get 18k. At 3 TS you get 27k. This is huge burst and pretty interesting in pvp.

There are other traits that might be worth taking. For example revolving blades is currently the best trait for hectic add cleave. So you don’t necceserily need 3 TS. I would also not reccomend it, because you need 1 Uldir trait (archives) for reorigination array in Uldir.

Thirsting blades are prunned to the ground in pvp, probably the worst trait you could play, if i don’t remember wrong it had a 70% dmg reduction in pvp so no, it’s not interesting in pvp, it’s useless

I don’t think you’re thinking about it properly. It’s not about getting 40 stacks, why would it be? The stacks are constantly being added throughout the fight and you’ll be consuming every single stack throughout it. Doesn’t matter if you consume them at 1 stack or 30, you get the same output.
