Hello everyone. While playing Shadowlands, I ran into the “This cinematic is not available” error that pops up whenever there is a cinematic in the story. Cutscenes with my character play without problems. I play on a clean game, absolutely no add-ons. I deleted the Cache and WTF folders and also tried fixing the game files using Scan and Repair. Anyone have any ideas how to resolve this issue?
Hi there Rivarion,
I wasn’t able to find any known issues with this, but from a couple of other threads here are some steps that seem to have worked for other players:
- Updating Your Drivers and Operating System (this is always a great first step for any issues like this)
- Make sure the master volume isn’t 0
- Close any background apps that may be interfering
- A full UI reset, including a CVAR reset under the Advanced Troubleshooting (keep in mind this will reset all your in-game settings and cannot be undone)
Also, while you of course shouldn’t have to leave the game for it, if it was just one or two specific ones you missed out on you should be able to find them on our YouTube channel as well over at https://www.youtube.com/c/Warcraft
Hi there,… for me at least god fixed by changing 2 settings: selecting the graphic card and picking one Graphic Api option legacy and 12 worked.
i think, that after 2 years, with no further posts from the OP, that the problem has either been solved, or the op has left.
Theres no need to necro posts.
I’m having this issue. The base game cinematics from the WoW login screen all work but during questing, all cinematics don’t load and gives thie exact error.
I have everything updated on my computer. I have nothing in the background interfering and I tried a full UI reset and deleted all the folders and even no addons fully deleted, still same issue.
Try this post. That guy seems to have found the issue and solve it.
