I’m really disapointed that after one week playing on a SoD server i cannot have my family and friends join me and our fellow guildies on this server due to faction “imbalance”…
To the one that might say that i should go on another server or ask all my old friends to join me elsewhere, i would say that this is ridiculous.
The wierd thing about it is that they subscribed to the game, because of course you cannot TEST PRIOR subscribing to check if a "faction is available… on the server you intend to play.
Having played WoW numerous lives since the release with various pauses (yes i’m 58) i know that there will be also whinners complaining about imbalances, that is about population or classes… one thing i learned about 30+ years playing MMO in general is that you cannot solve it completely.
Now, again, this faction limit is absolutely ridiculous… look at the servers after one year or two…when people dont get what they want, they leave, meaning again, new servers, new characters… more time and money which is after all not so bad for some…
Please give us back freedom instead of fake and useless measures that look promising short term but loosing long term.
Last but not least, allow people who subscribed that cannot play faction/server they want to be refunded.

Another topic that comes up each time we talk about realms is faction balance on PvP realms. We’ve received a lot of feedback on this since 2019. We hear you, and with Season of Discovery, we’re going to try something new: this Season’s PvP realms have been designed to maintain faction balance as they grow. Yes, this is actually happening!
However, there is a potential cost to this faction balance that we want to make sure you’re aware of: if one faction is significantly more dominant on a PvP realm, there is a very real likelihood that faction selection may be temporarily limited on that realm. That said, our overarching goal for Season of Discovery is for it to be a fun and smooth experience, and we are prepared to change course if necessary. Your requests for faction balance have been heard loud and clear. This is a new direction for us, and one that we’re excited to try.

The same argument could be said when the faction turns into an entirely mono-faction. You have the freedom to join the population managed SOD or the freedom of not managed versions where mono-factions have appeared on their respective realms.

Your subscription grants you access to the game, nowhere does it state to a specific faction/server and no refund will be given based on that.

Edit: I understand you want to play with your friends/family, you could always suggest they add in systems or another to enable but I think there’ll be always people left behind in any given system.

Faction balance is the best thing Blizzard did, and no its not because of this they are leaving. Also it sounds realy suspicious that after 8 month of sod your “Family” and " guild" want to Join you .

@Saneko thanks for the effort, i know the rules and the problem, as it happened numerous time in the past. I’m just talking about a basic principle.

Who said after 8 month ? There’s nothing suspicious, i’m just returning to play.
