Sure, it’s not super easy to balance the game but 3% with a 4monts work time is just too bad even for a intern developer. Find your way to continuous delivery like the rest of us that work during the day. And do something that at least tries to address the real issues in the game, now. If you do it to DH or tune down some other classes I do not care about. But just prioritize it over stuff like:

  • The Frothing Pustule that spawn from the Infinitely Divisible Ooze trinket will now attack Grand Proctor Beryllia in Sanguine Depths.

This ends up in hot fix while extremely broken and unbalanced stuff is left completely untouched for months.

I throw money at you buying all the mounts and transferring chars left and right, but if you need more to move balancing up on your list just tell us so we can help.

havoc is exactly where they want it to be, accept it and play or reroll.
there is no other explanation after months of being sh1t. we’re meant to be sh1t.
maybe only this patch but i have little hope. i’m getting 3 classes ready for next patch…hopefully one is decent.

The big issue with Havoc is its reliance on Versatility is as a secondary stat. With the main-stat being such a large DPS increase, let’s set the value at 25% Vers, a 200 point increase in Agi would in reality be a 50 point increase while a 100 point Agi increase is in reality a 25 point increase. This means that if HDH were balanced for t1 they would be horribly unbalanced at t3 due to the exponential scaling.

Percentages of something is okay as it makes the abilities permanently scale, percentage increases of something is a mathematical abomination in MMOs that has no place in design. Arms Warriors has the same problem of having so many percentage increases that their base performance is lacking, a Mortal Strike can right now fluctuate from a 3.5k hit to a 13.5k critical hit, just as an example.

Blizzard has gone on record to say they don’t like changing up the meta mid season. That extends to PvE too.

The bright side is that a lot of top people are saying that DH are looking good next patch/raid tier. Apparently they scale good or something? I have no idea. But it’s something being parroted a lot for some reason.

Yeah, as I said.

If you have 1200 Agi and 20% Vers you get a benefit as if you have 1440 Agi. An increase of 240 points.

Same Vers % and now 1500 Agi and you get a benefit as if you had 1800 Agi, An increase of 300 points yet same percentage value.

Percentage of something is okay, percentages to something is a travesty that should be exorcised from MMO design and back to the single-player where it belongs, as it means that those that have exponential scaling will have to be UP at the start to achieve parity with the rest later of there’s constant growth cycle. Like with an MMO and the patch cycle.

Baseline DH kit scales horribly - Mastery is numerically bad, Crit does not benefit Eye Beam because it always crit by default, Haste diminishes in value because Eyes of Rage and Demonic gives alot of haste baseline which leaves only Versa which is 1 out of 4.

DH scale well with borrowed power - procks like corruption Gushing Wounds and Essences because they have alot of haste and GCD locked, you always have something to press.
