I was alliance and everytime i tried to do it for achiev there was always only horde so i used my second ACC created a horde character and get free chest everytime it drop
I was playing my main and then alt tab to second acc to collect
but that method is i think only good if you want only achievement for 1000 honor in zone for meta achievement
The situation is opposite here. I am not exaggerating when I say that 95% of caches go to Horde without a fight, 4% go to Horde with a fight, and 1% go to Alliance with a fight. No matter what time of the day I go, Horde always outnumber Alliance at least 3:1. I have not yet managed to complete the achievement that wants me to open a chest in every zone, and I have definitely attempted over 50 times for the last zone.
And of course, 1 time where the Alliance seemed to have a cache in Isle of Dorn, it decided to instantly despawn as soon as it touched ground.
But how are they gonna balance that when there is no equal number of each faction to begin with.
I do understand the frustration but unless they forcefully shard a ton of Alliance players away from your server group and/or force a bunch of hordes to yours that is pretty much impossible to do.
For a start having War Mode ON should have shards independent to Connected Realms, pooling entire region allocating players to roughly 1:1 with some leeway before creating new shards… they’re currently tied to it which creates this imbalance of faction populations.
shards has nothing to do with connected realms. My realm isn’t connected to any other realm, yet with shards I see people from other realms.
Most PVP players play alliance since alliance has races with better pvp racials. So while there are more horde players in general than there are alliance, PVE players turn WM off and PVP players turn WM on.
That’s literally impossible if online player count is not balanced.
Im sure the system can detect how many people of either side use the warmode.
So give the side that has less people something.
And i dont mean more honor or gear or something like that. Give them buffs. Let them do more dmg and take less maybe cd reduction. And the bigger the difference in numbers is the bigger the buffs get.
Something like if there are ten alliance players for every horde player one hordeplayer should be strong enough for two players.
Maybe that way they can get more players into wm and then slowly the numbers get more even
Then explain to me why I’m ALWAYS seeing the same realms when I’ve got WM on? It’s 100% defaulting to some set of them… and it always returns me to it when I leave a party after doing a group WQ
15 years ago, back in Wrath of the Lick King, Wintergrasp had a similar buff like what you suggested. I remember having this buff stacking very high, I soloed more than 20 alliance players. I was literally like a raid boss who doesn’t have an aggro table and prefers attacking healers, so they wiped trying to kill me
Yeah, but this can have bad effects. For example there are 50 alliance players most of whom are in the north of the map, and 1 horde and 1 alliance players in the south. The horde player will have the buff stacked 5 times vs a single alliance player. You have a situation similar to the one I explained above in old Wintergrasp.
The thing is even if the numbers of horde and alliance players are perfectly balanced. They can’t control how they are distributed in a big zone.
So may be both side are equal. But most of the horde are in the south and most of the alliance are in the north. You would have imbalances both in the North and South.
This is the thing about world PVP. It’s never balanced, and never fair.
