I think keeping it how it is now is fine, however I believe that, the elite set should be 2k and not 1.8; fair opinion tho.

You’re really comparing ‘the insane’ title to ‘challenger’?

Challenger is an entry lvl reward, no one cares about that. It’s like earning bronze in the training mode in Pandaria. People care about the high end stuff.

And you have no clue of why I was comparing those titles.

You are throwing bread crumbs at low rated players just to look good. Your titles are pointless rewards.
I’m talking about incentives, those titles aren’t incentives for many players.

Lower rated games are already not giving any gear, and the few drops you do get are pointless because of low ilvl. In WoD and MoP you would at least get some gear from low rated arenas so the despite the lack of other rewards there were still some reason to do them.

It’s nothing to do with an ego btw. I mentioned that in wrath I wasn’t good enough to get the rewards that were so sought after at the time at specific ratings, but worked my a*se off to try and get them. I didn’t get them until like like 2 more expansions, and It felt amazing when after 2 years I got the rewards that closely resembled the ones I failed to get in the first instance.

Getting gladiator in BfA didn’t feel anything like this. It felt quite the opposite. Earning something that was previously so difficult, to getting it without any real effort involved. Same goes with the tabard and the flame enchant in BfA.

Your feelings or an active ladder. That’s the choice.

Personally I feel proud about those games where I made some plays, where my team does everything right. These games can happen on any rating.
I don’t need a mount, pet or transmog to show off to others as some sort of proof that those games happened, I know they did and that’s enough.

Getting to some rating/goal is a cherry on top of it all. Sure it feels nice, but if I could get the same rating while cheesing it somehow it wouldn’t feel the same. Why I’m not into fotm rerolling.

These argument tend to boil down to showing off to other players, having some sort of proof of how awesome you are. That’s why I say they are essentially about ego.
I have seen these arguments before, you are by no means unique in your thinking here. In WoD there were people like you that were whining about casuals having access to the same gear they had, and that was so awful because… dunno, they couldn’t dominate them in bg’s or whatever. Or the game didn’t make them feel like unique snowflakes.

Well, I suppose they got their wish, and now you want to remove even more without considering the implications.

I think there should simply by more cosmetic sets so you dont have to stretch the elite set over 3k of rating

it was 2452 on HORDE because it was the first season with faction splittet rewards also xuna/arenamate predicted around 2650, so there is simple no reason for a “gladiator” below 2.7 lol and like Drae says Gladiator needs to be 0.5% again.

I agree but in most of the legion season the gladiator was alot of times below 2.7 on hord.
