This item's source is no longer available (transmog)

’ when transmog was introduced in the Legion prepatch,’

what are you even saying at this point, i’m highly convinced you guys didn’t play back in the days.

I don’t think the game tracks equipped items, but it did track quests you did prior to Cata, and gave you earned mogs accordingly around when they added the wardrobe system.

Mostly, at least, I’m missing a particular pair of shoulders from a quest in Desolace that I very vividly remember doing.

i appologise. when the COLLECTION of transmog was introduced in Legion prepatch. transmog itself was in cata, but you needed to have the item in your bag/bank.

i agree. but the other guy above was saying that equipped items were given when wardrobe came out. this is not true.

wwhelp sorry to break it to you, you never did the desolace quest back then.

would’ve had the shoulders and you know it yourself.

Naaah. The, let’s call it “appearance import”, was flawed. Buggy. Glitchy. It didn’t only take completed quests/inventory/bank into account, but mostly those. It’s quite random how successful the appearance import was.

not true at all. i’ve got tons of removed gear. in the hundreds, because i actually did play back then. if you guys did you would also have it in your appearance tab.

That is the problem though. If there is only a single item in the game to complete an otherwise fully obtainable transmog set, it is quite misfortunate when this item’s source is removed. In that case, you ‘must have’ this item if you want to complete a specific set.

If Blizzard would never make those items available again, I sadly have no other choice than to ‘move on’. But life could still be better.

And again, I am not referring to prestigious items like from old Naxxramas or explicitly time restricted rewards, only questing and dungeon greens and blues. And reintroducing them wouldn’t hurt anyone, would it?

i think my achievements and title say otherwise. :\

so where is my Khorium Champion?

i’m referring to obtaining gear that is now unobtainable.

One of nine TBC Weapons that’s eluded this Blacksmith thus far, too… from a time when you had a choice to be either an Axesmith, a Swordsmith or a Hammersmith… and I’d bet those specialisations were the real sources, not the World Drop/Coilskar Chests the game would have us believe they are.

I needed to do it in order to get Loremaster. It was the 3rd last quest I did. Died twice trying back in Vanilla, was a fair bit easier when I was 80 in full Wrathful.

Huh. Guess I should be glad I got all the Armoursmith training then, and have never deleted my paladin who learned it. Might be some monitos there, unless they’re all BoP

and here you are, without the shoulders. it’s crazy how confident you guys are without being able to provide evidence of your claims.

This sad article of a Warrior did ALL of Loremaster both before AND after Cataclysm…

Many of the specialisation pieces were, hence the BoE ‘Reborn’ versions of some from MoP.

I mean leaving it undone Post-Cata would just be you leaving free achievement points on the proverbial table.

I just wanted to make sure that I had done all of it… even it it meant going through metaphorical Hell to do so.

Oh the noes. Imagine having less achievement points.

Sarcasm is soooo unbecoming of a walking corpse…

Shrug, each to their own.
I don’t really care about my achievement points, ain’t gonna knock what other people fancy doing in the game.

Some parts you lose, some you retain, when transitioning as Forsaken. Sarcasm is one of the things I kept.
