Today I just sat down and said “time to hear some triumphant roars” as I logged in and yeah, I got multiple lines of the same text on a line the first seconds I logged in and it keeps repeating and repeating.
I understand you have to point out guilds that killed a mythic dude the first time of the server, because it happens once like every week and it is just a simple line of text, to see the same TRIUMPHANT ROAR over the chatlog is quite interesting, sometimes its so frequent like in Wednesdays.
Guess what, when I wrote this text and came back to the game, what do I see, yes, triumphant roars! How can I hear a ROAR from seat of the aspects when I am in the afterlife in a dimensional rift fighting devourers?

My guild has a weakaura that congratulates our Evoker (Who does not have the legendary) whenever the roar text happens.

It’s quite a loud roar indeed, and here I thought it was impressive that it reached back in time to the pandaren starter island.

Quite a loud roar. Was doing midsummer event in WoD yesterday and it reached my ears.
Disable ‘Battleground Neutral’ announcements in your chat window settings. Send any gold thankyou’s to this character. Thanks.

Its like Ronin 2.0 but worse, because you see it everywhere. In a Raid, dungeons, doing WQs. I think i saw it while doing bgs too. Like wtf, why would i care some dragon got his leggo weapon. Players obtaining Tarecgosa werent that annoying too, as the event only happened in Orgrimmar.
I think that the fact that it doesn’t say the name of the player kind of undermines the reason that notification would be there in the first place.
In classic, when someone turned in important quests, the NPC yelled their names, calling them heroes and what not. The fact that this notification just says that someone made it, I don’t think that it makes it exciting or immersive for anyone.

Think they are just scared the name might be something that slipped through their wonderful report / censoring system - and to be honest, the message would be even worse if it would also bombard us with many of the players’ creatve ways to give their characters terribly ugly names.
