As a casual player, I am really enjoying delves presently. I think they are fun and the variety of them available is keeping me interested. I hope blizzard keeps adding more, and that they are included as an alternative way to get mythic crests too at some point, because I hardly ever have the patience/desire to mythic raid/ do higher end keystones. Guess I just like smaller challenges that dont risk losing a lot of time/effort. Anyway, the problem is without an alternative way to get these crests, it just limits my progression, which makes me just take a break or play something else (can be a good thing I suppose).
As for mythic +, I have only ever reached a decent rating once on a druid resto healer in dragonflight. Man was it stressful healing. I felt like every mistake was the healers responsibility to stop it from leading to a wipe (rather punishing if you ask me all whilst making sure I didnt make any mistakes) but i really wanted the mythic set which I got. Anyways, I havent even attempted any key pushing in S1- I am also not a fan of the changes made. I appreciate people like a challenge, but others do not care for it that much, atleast not to the point I get put off playing.

I certainly have a different view on Delves based on what I play. On Evoker it was horrible to do delves, while on Paladin it was easy. The problem I have with delves is that beyond tier 8 it just becomes a war of attrition. You either die because after a long sluggish fight you get killed because you can’t rotate defensives that long, or you finally killed that non-elite trash mob that pretended to be a training dummy for 30 seconds.
While I’d love to do the challenge to clear all delves with no deaths at T11, I just don’t have the patience for it. Mind you, I run a ton of M+, so it’s not because it becomes repetitive, it just becomes really annoying where they effectively make you choose between waiting for CDs or enduring boring long fights.
Delves should’ve had Plunderstorm combat mechanics.

Thanks for sharing. I somewhat agree with the higher tier delves. I think I just find delves way more enjoyable and diverse than the current state of mythic plus right now, which is odd since delves are the new feature, but that shows it has the potential to become something great.
Not too sure about plunderstorm combat being in delves. I feel like that would feel too much like torghast with the various combat pick ups and choices but who knows. 
Both are great and offer different levels of challenge for different players.
